This is one of the most unique and coolest places I have stayed at in my years of international travels. A silo converted into 4 bedrooms and a rooftop lounge - who would have imagined that? There were 7 of us travelling and we were lucky to have the entire tower to ourselves. The bedrooms exceeded my expectation in that they have very modern and hi-tech facilities (such as the ceiling ambiance lights that can change colours), while keeping a simplistic and clean design. The rooms are well equipped with power outlets; safety equipment like fire extinguisher, fire blanket, smoke detector; a small kitchenette with sink, stove and kitchenware; a table top attached to the wall along with 2 chairs; and even a small portable fan. There are drawers under the bed for storage. The bathroom is spacious and has a large wall mirror and heated towel rack. Rooms on upper floors have much stronger water pressure than the ground floor. Lots of natural lights. One of the windows is screened to prevent bugs from flying in. Biting midges can be an issue at night time during summer. We were lucky we didn't come across these bugs as the temperature was exceptionally cool during our visit. Wi-Fi works well. There are 4 parking spots at the bottom of the tower, clearly marked with each apartment number. The metal staircase that goes around the outside of the tower is non-slip but has open slats. Those who are scared of heights may want to pick the lower floors. The rooftop lounge, with windows all around, provides panoramic views of the surrounding area. It will be a great place to watch the northern lights while staying warm indoors. When people go up and down the metal staircase, the sound carries through the tower. It doesn't bother me, but it may be annoying to some. My daughter on the 4th floor said she could hear me talking from my 3rd floor room - something to be aware of. Overall, very happy with the stay and look forward to visiting again and staying longer!

The accommodation has really convinced us 100% and we would book this again at any time. There is a lot of love in the furnishings, the equipment is exemplary and you could feel extraordinarily comfortable there. The highlight was of course watching the northern lights from the hot tub. We were lucky enough to see this natural spectacle on several days with cloudless skies. But also because of the sauna and the fireplace, the wellness and relaxation factor was very high after long day trips to visit the surrounding sights. Connection to the ring road is within about half an hour. For those who haven't planned their trip in advance, there is also a guest book available with all the important information, including instructions on how to use the great hot tub. All in all, we are thrilled and would recommend this accommodation to all rental car travelers who value that certain something, who want a good starting point for visiting the sights of the Golden Circle and the South Coast. Our excursion tip for those who want to enjoy nature a little off the tourist crowded paths: starting from the famous waterfall Skogafoss, you can climb the stairs and make a great hike along the river. It leads along many smaller, but no less beautiful waterfalls and ends at the imposing Skalabrekkufoss. Another highlight was the hike in Reykjadalur, a volcanically active high temperature area. Be sure to bring bathing suits, as there is a designated spot where you can swim in the river, which is fed by warm springs.

Amazing quiet location on a gorgeous countryside with mile long views. Very close to grocery store and gas. Also close to hot pools for an afternoon soak and restaurants for dinner afterwards. The b&b had a well equipped kitchen if you want to make your own dinner and sit and enjoy the views in the back. Everything was clean and updated. I would definitely stay again.

We loved the style and beautiful view. As we were alone in the part of the building, we had the common entrance and resting area only for ourselves. The room has everything we needed, we cooked warm up our food, we could prepare a tea and coffee. Great communication, we received the access code immediately after the booking.
