This place was wonderful. Great value, helpful and caring staff, good location, and you can even order meals from a small menu ahead of time. The meals are great too! I enjoyed how cozy this place was, that I extended my stay. Any bikepackers, they have a nice spot out front for your bike, no worries.

Good location ✅ Very warm and welcoming hosts, always ready to assist with inquires ✅ Hosts had great recommendations on things to see in the area and restaurants ✅ All the necessary tools to cook food in the kitchen as well as a refrigerator to keep drinks or ingredients cold ✅ Beautiful decorations inside the home, giving it a very unique atmosphere ✅ Very different rooms, based on which preference one might have- if they prefer a more traditional japanese styled room with tatami mats & futon, or a western style room as most people are familiar with ✅ Possibility of renting a bicycle, or a motor driven bicycle from the hosts- should the need to explore a bit further outside of town become relevant ✅ I can recommend to stay here for anybody visiting Wakkanai!

I had a fantastic time at Surfeel hotel Wakkanai. The hotel was immaculately clean and spacious with very kind staff, the view from my window was incredible and I really enjoyed the breakfast and thought it was great value for money.
