A Place in the Paddock was lovely! The surroundings of the farm and nature was really serene and it was comfortable to relax ourselves as it was away from the crowd and noise (much more peaceful than the cities). We enjoyed the view very much and even got to see the farm animals from afar, such as the cows marching at dawn and the rabbit stealing some lettuce; how cute!! Even though the weather wasn’t perfect (it was wet and dreary), we still enjoyed having a stroll around the farm and snapping photos at every opportunity. The apartment was large and cozy, with fragrance (and a cow theme which is cute) in every room, even the toilet! We even got the chance to bring a book home from the collection, but it was a pity that none caught our interest :( (I did like the 100 Wonders of the World, though…)

From the plush bed linen and towels to the well-equipped kitchenette, every detail was thoughtfully curated to ensure our utmost comfort. The terrace with mountain views was the perfect spot to unwind and take in the breathtaking scenery. One of the highlights of our stay was the delicious breakfast prepared by our gracious hosts. We were delighted to find a variety of options to choose from, including fresh fruits that were a delightful touch. The hospitality extended to us made us feel truly special, and we couldn't have asked for a better start to our day. Overall, our time at Kaimai Sunset Bed & Breakfast was nothing short of magical. From the warm welcome to the impeccable accommodation and delicious breakfast, every aspect of our stay was simply perfect. We would highly recommend this charming bed & breakfast to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting. We can't wait to return for another unforgettable stay.

Charming Bach house on a farm 5 min from Hobbiton. Very well stocked and the host was so friendly and accommodating. Best of all was Ludo the dog who decided we were part of the family. Very charming!

View was great with green hills in background. It is working farm so you will see Cows and sheep. Room was very clean . We reached late and host told us how to reach Matamata town center for dinner. Breakfast was great, especially oats cereal and cookies!
