This hotel was one of the nicest, if not the nicest, hotels I have stayed at in Terceira. I have been traveling to Terceira for years and have never stayed in a hotel like The Shipyard. It is brand new and everything inside and outside was done tastefully and modern. If you are not familiar with Terceira, it is incredibly humid. It is very common to smell or see mold when entering buildings or houses. This hotel is very well cared for, there were no signs of mold and our apartments were kept very clean the entire stay. The breakfast was lovely, the best pastel de natas I've had from Terceira.

Alberto ensures you have the best stay possible, great location, comfy beds with plenty of pillows and covers. Breakfast was amazing as were the gardens and sitting areas. Pool was vey clean although our weather didn’t cooperate but we enjoyed dipping in our feet after a long day. you’ll also love the cat, she’s friendly and always seems to find a spot to sit close by when you’re outside.

The grounds are attractive and well-maintained. We had complete privacy but Henry was available for any help we needed. He greeted us as 130 am in person and we found cheese , bread and jam waiting for us. The villa was a delight to wake up in and return to after a day of exploring. There was a parking spot for us as well. Listen to Henry’s recommendations! He knows all!

Guesthouse is very well taken care of, Daniela & Maria, who run it, are super friendly, helpful and patient. Big selection of items on breakfast and a very well equipped kitchen to make your own meals. Guesthouse is situated in a quiet village close to Angra. There are restaurants in the village that are definitely worth visiting. I have problems with my sleep, but there I slept like a baby!! Hope to come back there!
