The energy of this place is amazing, their love of animals, the positivity and the exquisite eye for details can be felt and seen in every corner. Their lounge area and breakfast are an experience not be missed. Not to mention their lovely pool. Hope we will be back soon. :)

This is a beautiful quirky apartment, it was spotless. Isabel greeted us so warmly and the property had so many little extra touches that made it really special, We were there for only one night and didn’t cook but it seemed to have everything you would need. Really comfy bed and spacious bedroom. The views from the property are amazing and the little terrace beautiful. A walk literally around the corner gives you stunning views over Alqueva Lake and another few yards up the hill takes you into the caste and the village of Monsaraz. This is a truly special and individual place.

Very welcoming and friendly staff who were readily available to help me with the jacuzzi and left breakfast out for me when I overslept the breakfast time. It's a great place to relax and explore the countryside, especially if you like llamas! I recommend booking the bungalow for stargazing from the jacuzzi and staring off into nature.

The host and all staff were extremely courteous and attentive and I was pleasantly surprised with Sérgio’s fruitful efforts in building a little, beautiful green-eco system from the once almost barren landscape. We highly recommend “Monte Alerta” for your stay in this area.

Joana and Anabela were wonderful, the breakfast was lovely and varied and had a great homemade touch, and the room was excellent. We really loved our stay and definitely want to come back. It was cold so sadly we didn't get to enjoy the pool but the outside area (pool, garden, plenty of cozy places to sit and read) was great to walk around!

Perfect location, hosts wonderful, accommodation great. Monsaraz is a small and very old hilltop town with cobblestone paths everywhere, everyone was so friendly, and our 3 nights there couldn't have been better. Thank you also for the getting the kettle just for us, we really appreciated it.

Excellent communication from host. Castle literally next door and village both authentic and a preserved delight. There are compromises in getting to the property but nothing that should cause any problems to the organised. Views from property and village are wonderful and on a good day you have up to 30 kms visibility. Facilities are reasonable, clean and work.
