We LOVED this place. Rooms were beautiful and so clean and cosy! The communal areas were spotless, the staff were super helpful (download WeChat for easy communication) and the food was super tasty! It’s a 20-25 minute walk to the Great Wall. They can sort a car for you but you don’t need it. It was so nice to finish a full day at the Wall then just walk back to this place which was warm, cozy and had great tea. The kids loved it and we felt right at home from the minute we walked in. Situated 2.5 km from Gubei Water Town in Miyun and Simatai Great Wall, 20 km from Jinshanling Great Wall, Jumanyuan House features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. The hosts were super hospitable, warm and friendly. The owner came to Beijing Airport to pick me up and brought me safely to their home. It felt like a homestay with home cooked breakfast. The breakfast was sumptuous, and had this very homestyle feel. The location is just six minutes away from the Gubei Watertown and Simatai Great Wall. I wanted to see the Great Wall at night so I chose to stay here. The owner drove me to Gubei Watertown and back to the hotel so transportation was fine and good. Wifi was fine and the bed was huge. Again, the owners were so kind and friendly. I felt like a VIP.

We have just enjoyed 2 nights here during May 2022. Pros are: 1) Excellent communication with Ellie by wechat before and during the trip. She can arrange transport for you to Panlongshan section of the Wall for 100rmb round trip. Any questions you have she will promptly reply. 2) Watertown tickets (2) were included in the room price and the car to go there and pick you up later. Very convenient and saves you money! 3) Delicious breakfast especially French toast, fresh coffee. Fresh baked rolls..We ate breakfast in the adjoining breakfast room which is nicely furnished. 4) Ellie kindly upgraded my room.Comfortable room (four poster bed) with ensuite bath (powerful water tap in bath. Also large separate shower head).. Good quality toiletries. Bathrobes. Aircon /heater in room. Living room - adequate size but be aware that it's a shared living room amongst 3 rooms in the Villa. Luckily we were the only people staying there that weekend so had it to ourselves. 5) Excellent, helpful staff working there - Linan speaks English. 6) Relaxing seating area on the deck outside. A barbecue too but we didn't use it. 7) i put in a special request for a cake to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The lady there, I forgot her name, made a delicious cheesecake. Thank you. Cons No cons. Special notes. We visited during the covid testing period in Beijing and also when dine-in restaurants were prohibited. Please do not let that deter you from visiting because you can easily order takeaway food (staff will help you order it) and eat it in your Villa. Also you can do your 48 hour covid (NAT) test before you leave central Beijing and stay there 1 night and still get back to Beijing central. Hospitality venues like this Villa need tourists to visit so we should try and support them. We got the minibus from Watertown (departs 1200, 1700) to Dongzhimen Beijing cost 48 rmb per person NOTE you pay on the bus.

Lilly and Yang the hosts of this wonderful property are two of the nicest people we have ever met. Everyone one of us felt so welcome and really felt like home, we could not have asked for more, everything was perfect. I wish I could go there every night for dinner the food was delicious, the rooms are beautifully decorated and the location is absolutely perfect for the wall.

The property features mountain views and is 13 km from Shengquan Temple and 19 km from Hongluo Temple. The farm stay has family rooms. Incredibly helpful staff, very clean, lovely food and good value for money. They were more than happy to give us tips and help arrange an airport transfer. The owner also cooks very well:)

Every airy unit here is air-conditioned and comes with a flat-screen cable TV and a kettle. The en suite bathroom offers slippers and free toiletries. In some rooms, guests may expect to enjoy a lush mountain view. It was a welcoming place to stay in a beautiful location. We were greeted with smiles and the food was delicious. We would stay here again if we are ever in the area.
