Great Wall is close, and the views are amazing. If you go by yourself on subway, it’s a bit hard to get. Better prepare in advance. On taxi it took 1,5 hour. But the location is worth it.

Situated 2.5 km from Gubei Water Town in Miyun and Simatai Great Wall, 20 km from Jinshanling Great Wall, Jumanyuan House features air-conditioned rooms and free private parking. The hosts were super hospitable, warm and friendly. The owner came to Beijing Airport to pick me up and brought me safely to their home. It felt like a homestay with home cooked breakfast. The breakfast was sumptuous, and had this very homestyle feel. The location is just six minutes away from the Gubei Watertown and Simatai Great Wall. I wanted to see the Great Wall at night so I chose to stay here. The owner drove me to Gubei Watertown and back to the hotel so transportation was fine and good. Wifi was fine and the bed was huge. Again, the owners were so kind and friendly. I felt like a VIP.

The owner Jennie and her friend were very kind though I just had 1 night stay there. The bed room was clean and the bed was super comfortable. If you will fly from Da Xing airport, the place of the guest room is convenient. It is not far from Caoqian station that you can use the AirPort Express subway to Da Xing airport.

The location is near the great wall from simatai. A quiet and nice place between mountains to enjoy your holiday. There are also restaurants which we recommend to try local food. We had a lovely stay with Lilly and Young. Amazing hosts very helpful and food is delicious. Best stay we have had in China and the highlight of our trip. We will be back!
