He tried his best to speak English and helped with the places to go. Also, I had an early check-out, but made sure I had breakfast. Finally he took a scooter so he could take me to the gate voor a taxi.

Pingyao Baichanghong Hotel ligt net naast het Xietongqing Unincorporated Bank Museum. Beautiful accommodation at the centre of ancient city of Pingyao in the bustling South Street. The owner and staff are very friendly, warm and helpful. They picked us up from the station and brought us to Ancient City (cars are not allowed inside) and also brought us on the day of departure, both for very reasonable fees, because we were with 5, too many for a taxi. The hotel and rooms were in a traditional style, allowing for great pictures.The beds and cushions were very comfortable for us. The bathroom and toilet are combined in a small room, but it wasn't bothersome.The owner knows the nearby shops and good spots to go to, definitely ask for tips. We enjoyed our 2 nights and 3 days in Pingyao a lot, definitely recommended.

Datong Yunzhong Traditional Courtyard ligt in het oude centrum van Datong, op 5 minuten lopen van de Huayan-tempel en de Negen Drakenmuur. Location was the best, the hotel is renovated is extremely clean, you feel welcomed like home! Definitely recommend for visiting Datong. Staff speaks English and is very friendly and helpful!

Room was quiet and clean, and host was really helpful. the host help us buy the Pingyao performance ticket and help store our luggage after checkout.
