The property is situated 47 km from Takayama Station, 600 metres from Shirakawago and 48 km from Fuji Folk Museum. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. The room was super spacious - the biggest one on our trip to Japan. I slept on the japanese style matress on the floor and it was super confortable. They have a very well equiped kitchen. And they offer a few drinks, jam, bread, and also 1 curry and rice per person, which was really nice. They have a beatiful and very helpful handmade guide for shirakawago, that stays on the main table - we used it to find good restaurants, attractions, and also learned about the history of the village. The isolation from the cold was very good - but I don't know if we could avaluate that super well, since it was a ratter warm night for Shirakawago's standards. They only had 1 shower/tub and 2 toilets. At first it got me worried it would be jammed to shower/use the toilet. But I didn't have to wait more than 5 minutes to shower and never had to wait to use the toilet, even with the place in full capacity. After all, the place is small with few rooms. Since it is really expensive to stay in Shirakawago, it wasn't that cheap. But it was a very fair price for the great experience we had.

Beautiful traditional hotel in Shirakawa. Structure is quite new and mix tradition and modern. Rooms are spacious and with all comforts. 24h onsen available, including drinks and snacks. Traditional dinner and breakfast available, which is a must to try. Staff is good and always try to help on anything. Shuttle bus from Shirakawa bus stop / traditional village.
Compared to other places in this village, it was a cheap stay. I liked the common area and kitchenette with free coffee etc. 20 minute walk to the attractions. The free shuttle was handy. Decent location. Not much within a 5 minute walk though. Good for a one night stay.
Perfect location to visit the village, in front of the supermarket and 10 minutes to the bus station. The owners are very kind and easy going, they provide towels and there is coffee and a fridge you can use
The location was very pleasant. Hotel conveniently situated; breakfast adequate. Small village with a number of suitable restaurants and food outlets. Onsen something that should be experienced but tub in room ideal.
Very nice staff. The shared spaces have a nice relaxed atmosphere. It was nice to have a private room. Good value for money. They will take you to the bus station by car in the morning.which is nice as it is a bit of a walk from ' the village'. By staying overnight you can visit the Shirakawa-go village early in the morning so it is not so busy yet.
We had a huge room and loved the house. Parking is possible directly at the house and it's just a few minutes walk to the historic village. We should have booked more nights!
Great view with incredibly helpful staff. The local vibe perfectly matches Takayama's friendliness and hospitality. Perfectly accessible via public transport while practically neighbouring Hida Folk Village.
It was conveniently located between the bus station and the village. The meals were good and they had an onsite mineral bath which was wonderful.
We had a great stay! The facility is very clean feels brand new, and also provides a big room with everything you'll need for a great evening in Shirakawago. The only downside is that the facility is 10-15 minutes walk from the bus station and feels a little remote from the main village. That being said, in my opinion the price/value ratio is still the best option if you'd like to stay a night in the village area.
Great location to visit the Shirakawa-go village. The host is super friendly and welcoming. It has been a pleasure to stay here!
