With garden views, Greenwood safari camp is set in Talek and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and outdoor fireplace. Great camp and facilities! You can watch hippos, baboons and crocodiles in the river just a few steps from the camp. Magdy and his staff are very attentive and kind. We also booked a game drive and we were very happy with our guide! Would definitely stay there again! Note if you arrive from Nairobi by rental car: -make sure you rent a 4WD -the fastest road to the camp is through the park on the C12 - entering at Sekenani Gate. However, the guards there didn't let us pass. They wanted us to pay the entrance fee and said that we weren't allowed to pass for free (as we read in other reviews before). So we ended up taking "Simba Road" which was recommended by the locals in the village before the gate. Be aware that this road is very bumpy and ask for directions towards Talek. It goes around the park to Talek. -do not take the C13/C14 from Narok!! -when we left we were allowed to go through the park from Talek Gate. They gave us a ticket which is called "Transfer ticket" which is valid for two hours and is for free. So a ticket like this still exists, apparently it depends on the guard if they will give it to you or not!

Maasai homestay camping is situated in Sekenani. Guests staying at this apartment have access to a fully equipped kitchenette. This was an experience that I will never forget. Jacib and his family are so welcoming and open so share their house and knowledge in a genuine way. The nature walk and massai village visit with Jacob were a highlight of my trip. I did nature walk and village with a safari organized by a tour operator the following days, and Jacob was way better. I regret not doing the safari with him as a guide. He is a naturalist and at the same time he knows and loves Masai culture so much, and is an open book for all the questions you migh have. The accommodation is very simple yet clean and comfortable. They were super accomodating with vegetatian diet. Higly recommend for sólo travelers who are adventureous souls and who put genuine local experience above comfort.

Located in Aitong, Enkusero Mara offers accommodation with seating area. This luxury tent provides free private parking, free shuttle service and free WiFi. Enkusero is a small boutique camp, owned and run by William who is a local Masai, a passionate host and an excellent guide with15 years of experience. He took us for tailor- made safaris and went out of his way to show us the Big Five and countless other wonderful creatures. The location was fantastic and ideally located to visit the Masai Mara reserve. Our tent was luxurious and beautifully furnished . They had wooden decks with large verandas, for us to enjoy the sight of zebras, wildebeest and gazelles that grazed and freely roamed around the camp. The camp was exclusive and intimate in character with 3-4 luxury tents, perfect for one large or two small families. The food was par excellence . Robert is a fabulous chef who delighted in serving us exquisite dishes, most beautifully presented. We were quite apprehensive of food as we are vegetarians but it seemed no trouble for the skilled chef. The team, service and hospitality was superb. We took packed breakfast on most morning game drives. They were delicious and plentiful. I would like to make a special mention of the bush dinner with camp fire and lanterns which was really spectacular. William also organised sundowner drinks and it was simply humbling watching the sunset in the vast, peaceful setting of the Mara. We thoroughly enjoyed a visit to the traditional village of the Masai community, which William was happy to organise. To add to all this, the money spent at the camp directly benefits the local Masai community as it provides direct employment and there are no middlemen involved. We stayed 5 nights and each day was above all our expectations. Fantastic place where to stay if you want to be in the middle of wilderness and at the same time feel safe, special and be treated like royalty. Big Thank You to William and his team for making our stay so special and memorable.

Providing garden views, Entumoto Main Camp in Ololaimutiek offers accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool and a garden. We had a fantastic stay at Entumoto! The rooms were spacious and clean, filled with all amenities and the service we received was exceptional. Alex was our guide for our game drives and he was incredible and so knowledgeable! We received great food every day and some highlights were a surprise lunch in the middle of our safari day. Our experience was really tailored to what we wanted. Would highly recommend! Also the views were amazing from the camp.

Perched on the hills of the private and secluded Megwarra escarpment lies Entumoto Safari Camp. The camp offers panoramic views over the Mara plains and features an outdoor pool, restaurant and bar. An amazing place for a luxurious safari holiday. The staff were amazing, great service. From the wet towels when you step off the jeep, to the food (amazing chefs), to the room staff. Every time we even stepped out of the tent, our bins were emptied, bed was made (even when we were going to check out), and room set. Game drives were amazing, guides knew their stuff and worked together to find the big 5. We stayed in Giraffe Cliff which was an amazing place. On the first night we had elephants right outside our tent, breaking branches at 1am! Every night the elephants were around, sleeping around the tents, but staff were always on site to guide us with torches if we ever needed to get around. They've thought of everything. We had an amazing time there, and would highly recommend it.

Maji Moto Eco Camp is located at the foot of the little-known and spellbindingly beautiful Loita Hills. This is an experience we won't forget! The campsite was beautiful. The facilities are not only functional and eco, they're beautifully designed. The shower and toilet with a view are not to be missed. The hot water is fetched from the natural hot springs, so it really is eco. Just don't spend too long in the shower to respect others wanting a hot shower. Our tent was spacious, and with sufficient privacy. We re-packed everything into one suitcase to avoid taking two big suitcases into the tent for the couple of nights we were there. The staff were very helpful, and explained everything in the camp well. We enjoyed all the food, the culture visits, the tours, learning about Maasai life, and the whole experience. I read in a guide book that it's 'put-on' for tourists but the majority of the staff are real Maasai although they're perhaps of the generation that is now schooled, etc. they still know a lot about their own culture and will happily answer any questions to teach you about their lifestyle.
