Merlin Guest House is a property set in Saint Francois. Some rooms feature a kitchen and a private bathroom. Free WiFi is available and on-site parking is provided. Our stay at Merlin Guest House for four nights was a real delight. It is situated at the east end of Rodrigues and was easy to find in our rental car (about 40 mins from the airport). There is a car park across the road, which meant the car was out of the way of traffic). The room was spacious with a balcony (from which, one morning, i spotted a Rodrigues Warbler) and the bed was comfortable. The real highlight of our stay was the food that was served. There is no menu and just one communal table. All the food is home cooked and excellent (we never had the same dinner twice) using fresh local produce is used (fresh caught fish for example). Eating with other guests is a great experience (even if our poor French meant for the most part we couldn't always contribute). Breakfast was hearty and again used fresh produce - it really set us up for the day! The Guest House is a few minutes from a lovely beach and, by walking a bit further you can reach secluded little bays that are stunning. Colin arranged a trip to Ile Catherine and Ile aux Coco for us and a couple of other guests, which was a real highlight of our stay. The room was very thoroughly cleaned everyday and all the staff were cheerful and friendly. All in all we could not have experienced a better stay and hopefully one day will be able to return.

Set in Rodrigues Island and only 9 km from Francois Leguat Reserve, Panoramic Paradise offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The accommodation provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean and spacious, matching the description and photos provided online. The location was brilliant - quiet, with beautiful views. We accessed attractions by hire car which our host, Stefan, organised. He also organised a boat trip for us. Breakfast and evening meal were provided and were delicious. The staff other than Stefan were friendly and helpful, ensuring our needs were met throughout our stay. Overall, we would definitely stay there again.

Situated in Rodrigues Island and only less than 1 km from Grand Bay Beach, Palms Ocean views features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. It’s tremendously exciting for world travelers to find somewhere very special like Rodrigues Island, 600 km east of Mauritius. Even more intriguing is what the accommodation will be like so far from the populated world. The pick-up from the little airport was faultless despite a common Air Mauritius delay and we were greeted at the Blue Room by John who showed us around and settled us in. The accommodation is simple and entirely unpretentious where everything works, including (now wait for it) wifi that yields, another ‘wait for it’, 320 Mbps! Plenty of water for the shower, hot and cold, with uninterrupted power supply. John can make available a car, a robust 4x4, at rates that, as I told him, are far below market rates. The Blue Room overlooks the somewhat distant Indian ocean that is a short drive away in Anse aux Anglais, down the hill. Restaurant-wise, there’s not a hell of a lot going on in Rodrigues but the local village down the hill offers some animation in the way of two okay eateries and a little grocery store. It’s pretty too. So, it’s a great place to stay (without AC but good fans) and highly recommended indeed. Bravo John!

Featuring mountain views, OR Saison features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 2.3 km from Grand Anse Beach. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. The way they welcome and treat us. The food was amazing. They are very kind 😊.

Set in Rodrigues Island, Eagles Nest Residence is a recently renovated accommodation, 1.7 km from Grand Bay Beach and 17 km from Francois Leguat Reserve. Mr & Mrs Jameson were very warm and welcoming. The cottage is situated on the high where the view is spectacular over the ocean. The cleanliness was second to none. Owner was helpful and felt home. It was my first time at the Rodrigues and can strong recommend the Eagles Nest Cottage. It’s spacious and can easier accommodate a family of 5. The cottage has a kitchen facility where you can prepare a good feast if you don’t feel like going out.

Situated just 1.3 km from Saint Gabriel Church, Létan Lontan provides accommodation in Rodrigues Island with access to a garden, a shared lounge, as well as private check-in and check-out. Fantastic stay! Amazing house, set in a breathtaking location. The attention to the little details in the house, which is furnished with great taste, is impressive. You feel really at home & you quickly feel that the owners of this house want their guests to feel at home. Everything is well thought for & done to that effect. Fabienne cooked delicious local food for us and made our stay really special. Johnny, the watchman, was marvellous with the kids who fell in love with the animals on the farm. The veranda is exceptional & spacious and we spent much time there, after a day of fun activities on the island. This is definitely a 10 out of 10! We shall definitely be back at Letan Lontan for another family getaway.

Situated in Rodrigues Island, Le Shanoa offers beachfront accommodation 100 metres from Gravier Beach and features various facilities, such as a garden and a bar. Le Shanoa is perfectly located by the ocean 😊 It is a beautiful place. The villa was clean and neat. Me and my mother had a beautiful stay in Rodrigues. Clara is such a lovely person, kind, helpful and bubbly 🥰 Clara sorted out the car for us that was already waiting at the airport, helped me to find a dentist and gave a lot of useful tips 🤩 Fred is also a nice guy. Not to mention their lovely doggy 🥰
