Also, because I had a longer stay (five nights), he offered to take me to the night market in Nahuizalco to sample local foods and drinks. The night market by the way is a “must see” when visiting the Ruta de las Flores. The place itself is very quiet and clean, with a nice outdoor sitting area behind the building. The shared hostel has three bedrooms, one with a private bath, the two other rooms sharing a second bath. The kitchen/dining room is large and kept very clean.

El Imposible National Park is 9 km from the guest house. It was amazing to stay in Casa Pino. We had a lovely apartment with very comfy beds and a hot water shower!

There wasn’t any air conditioning, but you won’t need it because the climate there is so much cooler! I just slightly cracked the window open and it was enough to keep the room nice and cold. The room was very clean and the wifi was a bonus! The owner even gave us some recommendations for food and tourism. I’ll definitely book here the next time I return to El Salvador.

We didn't meet the host but the communication was great and when the payment system rejected my credit card, the host quickly offered alternatives. Great stay overall!
