Location was very central, everything at walking distance. Very nice city-view veranda where we had breakfast. Very nice and friendly staff, did everything to accommodate our request for staying in the same room throughout our stay even though our booking was for different rooms each night.

Affordable if you're on a budget. – Great location, smack dab in the middle of Tahrir square, a stone throw's away from the Egyptian Museum & Sadat metro station. – Guided tours of Cairo & Alexandria, safari trips to the desert, as well as Nile cruises can be booked through the hotel upon arrival. – Nile cruise is highly recommended, whether you're interested in the lushy green views around the Nile, the history of the ancient Egyptian civilization, or simply lounging in the pool on a sunny day.

Excellent view from the terrace (breakfast) at the piramides. The Hayat is very close to the piramides. We added a quad safari with sunset, which the children loved.
