Wanaka
Located near the egde of Lake Wanaka, Mt Gold Glamping is set on a private farm. There are 2 private campsites with tents on offer, which are accessible by foot. Free private parking is available on site. Everything. It's isolated which is so nice, it felt like we were alone in the forest. We had everything we needed for cooking (other than food, which we brought) and cleaning up and keeping warm. Even though it was somewhat cloudy, we saw so many stars at night and it was amazing. Be careful to bring your trash inside because we heard a bunch of bumping around and night and when we shined the flashlight, there was a possum rummaging around in the kitchen! Thankfully we didn't have anything left outside, so it wasn't a big deal. Overall this was such a great experience, maybe my favorite in our south island trip.
Great customer service. Comfy bed, lovely hot shower. Off street parking.
The view was absolutely beautiful, especially sunrise and sunset, I could see it all from the unit.
Very comfortable, clean apartment. Spa was a bonus. Lovely sunny deck. Beds very warm and comfortable with nice linen. Couches very comfortable. Wonderful hot shower. Felt very relaxed there - and not far from city. Everything you needed supplied -
We were in a cottage at the back of the facility. Do it was very quiet. Road is quite noisy at the front. Lovely hot shower and good water pressure.
Great location with a wonderful view of Queenstown across the lake at sunset from the bar/ restaurant. Nice area to walk around and shopping area a 25 minute stroll.
It is an exceptionally stylish ambience and next to the golf course and the park in a particularly beautiful location. We saw the sunset reflected in the water every evening. A truly wonderful place to relax
This is a well appointed one bedroom apartment. It was very comfortable. The sunset views from this location was simply stunning. The breakfast was generous. I appreciated being able to use the laundry facilities.
The views were stunning and the safari tent we had was great as well.
A very quiet location with beautiful views of the mountains & surrounds. It feels like it is in the middle of nowhere, yet it is only a very short distance from the Rd. We sat on the veranda with a glass & lapped up the ever evolving sunset - WOW! Nice place, private, comfortable bed with tea & coffee facilities and some basic crockery & cutlery for your use
