This is a fantastic way to see wildlife in a remote jungle setting -- a former research station run by Pedro, a very knowledgeable and welcoming host. Pedro led us on a night hike and a day hike, where we saw monkeys, frogs, and a fantastic variety of birds.

Hotel was exactly as described . An oasis in the rainforest. However what made our stay was the prompt help from staff when i twisted my ankle and they arranged for a doctor. There’s nothing more telling about a place than how they deal with things going wrong. So grateful for every they did .

The staff were great, restaurant prices reasonable (and the seafood rice delicious) and access to the reserve was amazing. We went three times a day and saw different things each time.

The infinity pool is very beautiful. But what we really liked was the location. Tirimbina Park is accessible from the hotel. Awesome.

Pedro was very attentive, knowlegeable and so pasionate about the forest and conservation as were all the staff. We went on one day walk and two night walks through the jungle which we loved and also were able to go unguided on the trials. We saw snakes, frogs, monkeys, birds and a kinkajou. The cabins are basic but that feels part of the whole experience in such a remote setting however the food was excellent.

For that it was absolutely the right place. It is an assembly of cabins that are located in a beautiful garden directly at the river. There are a few walking paths in the jungle and you can watch numerous birds in the garden. The cabins are basic but have everything you need, incl. mosquito net. Just do not expect luxury. Dinner and breakfast were good. The staff is super friendly and helpful.

Lovely gardens full of animals (birds, frogs), and 2 swimming pools. The on site restaurant is ok, and convenient, as there at not that many other options in the area. Breakfast buffet style has quite a few options. Staff is friendly and helpfull.

The cabins were comfortable and arranged in a circle around the gardens with the river and jungle to the rear. Excellent breakfast served overlooking the bird tables, we had many a long breakfast there. Plus it is only 3 km from the Selva Park which if you like wildlife is a ‘must see’. Lastly the staff were brilliant and really seemed to enjoy working at this little gem.
