We stayed here to experience nature. The lodge fully lived up to that, with excellent reasonable priced tours and excellent guides. Recommend the simple grounds tour for wildlife viewing. Lodge has great facilities, nice pool, and is kept very well. Meals are a bit expensive, but everything in Costa Rica is a bit expensive for what you get.

More animals than I have ever seen and beautiful rooms. All of the activities were a blast especially the hike where we saw tons of birds and monkeys. The guides were super nice and everything -- food, transportation, excursions -- was really really well organized and convenient. The food was also great, and every meal was different. I ❤️ Mr. Willis Rankin the 1st. He is so funny, nice and knows so much about Tortuguero. The bed was so comfortable and it was even a bit chilly at night with the fan on.
