I liked how equipped the kitchen was and how little things like tin foil had been thought of. Loved how there were dvds and games to play. Log burner was lovely and cosy.

Looking for a cabin?

For the active travellers, a chalet is a great mix of the outdoors and the snug inside. Usually fully furnished and self-catered, chalets are typically wooden and in the Alpine region of Europe, but can also be found elsewhere in the world. Characterised by their sloped roofs, chalets can be single units or separate apartments, and are ideal for skiing holidays.

We really like the hotel and it’s location the local town of Louth is a real gem and we love visiting this area, we have been here every year for the past 18 years, leisure facilities are very good although they do shut a 6pm at the weekend, breakfast and evening meal in the restaurant is very good as we’re the staff.

Breakfast was good. I thought the chalet/ lodge/ or can it be called even a posh caravan was a little expensive but think price is sign of the times. Did enjoy hot tub, would rather book this accommodation than a hotel room, which I will do in future

We only booked for one night, but wish we had longer. Will definitely be going back. Lovely cabin, amazing views. Very clean and cozy, with extra touches such as providing porridge sachets, tea, coffee, hand soap, washing up liquid etc.

A bad start to our stay. Booking.com had made a mistake and booked the wrong day. No rooms available so we were given a cabin in the woods. This was ok but the bed very uncomfortable and we didn't get much sleep. The hotel staff were great at accommodating us and making our stay more pleasant. The restaurant was great and good breakfast.

Lovely welcoming pub, staff were great. Room was very cozy and warm and the large bath was a very welcome surprise. Wooden shutters meant we didn't hear a thing from the road. A great nights sleep all round.
