The breakfast was delicious and the host, Johanna was wonderful. The location had views for miles in every direction and even had a sea view. The room was so quiet but being woken up by Howler Monkeys is something I will never forget.

It felt very upscale with nice sheets, shower, supplies. The fire and the hot tub at night were the highlight. Oh and the food was great.

Quetzal Dorado Eco-Lodge is located in Los Naranjos, only 1.5 km away from the entrance of Tayrona National Park in El Zaino. The property is an eco-friendly hostel that offers private rustic rooms with balcony and bathroom. Beautiful resort, overlooking the jungle and the river. Very welcoming with a charming atmosphere, you can see the love and care that went into creating the place (even the shower has hot water). Perfectly located to explore Tayrona National Park (2 minutes down the road by bus) or the beaches located outside the park (5 minutes with the bus the other way). Also the perfect place to spend a few days just relaxing by the pool, reading, getting a massage (which was excellent and from the massage room had the best views of the landscape) and enjoying the sunset with a happy hour cocktail in the hand. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the food is great. Highly recommended!

Cute wooden cabins with open walls (with the net). Perfect place for relax. The hosts were very nice. They don't understand English, we don' understand much Spanish but they make all the effort trying to understand us and we agreed everything. Also thanks to translation app :) Location is 20 minut walk from the village (shops, restaurants) or 10 minutes from the road (moto taxis available)

We spent the last days of our Colombia trip here and we are so glad we did. Pilar gave us a room with a mesmerizing view of the scenery with Santa Marta seen from afar. We can hear birds, watch flowers and go on excursions nearby. The meals are prepared with care and beautiful ingredients. I highly recommend her place even if it’s a bit further up. Our stay at Playa Pikua was amazing from the location and beautiful beach to the nicest staff and hotel owners you could imagine. The hotel itself offers a calm and relaxing retreat while being perfectly located to do some tours to closeby attractions, and visit nearby restaurants. On top of that, the cabins were clean and wonderful, the food we ordered was delicious and we felt completely safe and at ease at every moment.
