This is so far and by far the best accomodation we have had in our one-month trip in Indonesia. The location is beautiful, the premises hyper clean, spacious and comfy, everything taken care of to the smallest detail, the wide choice of breakfast was gorgeous... And Jan, our host...there are no words to describe his helpfulness, amicability, and readiness to make our stay unforgettable. He gave us lots of practical information on the area and activities and made our stay very easy and enjoyable by organising all the activities we did (rafting, volcano trekking, local day trip, national park visit and transfers to and from the airport) for a very reasonable price. Jan is the epitome of a super host. If we ever come back to Sulawesi, no doubt we'll stay at Ilasan Cottage again.

They were perfect hosts and also the tour with Arno was great. He can tell very much about the history and the special features of the region. We would definitely recommend this stay, since it was a great experience. In particular the food is really good and freshly cooked and they also have good options for veggies.
