He will drive you anywhere you want to go in his tuk tuk and his wife makes a great local breakfasts. About 10 mins drive to town which means there's no noise from the loud streets and bars.

Arawe is a newly renovated 150-year old nature cottage located around 400m from the centre of Ella. Very nice location, outside area is the best. Food fresh prepared, nice decorated, very short tuktuk ride from ella center and main sights. Property can arrange all that and will wait for you at the station.

This place is really astonishing. It is built into the side of the mountain valley by the owner, Chandana, who has crafted everything himself. It's absolutely beautiful! I could have sat relaxing on the balcony for days looking out over the view. Incredible value for money. The room is a decent size with really lovely art features. It is equipped with a Mosquito net, fridge, variety of lighting, and a large window looking out onto the view. The bed is very comfy. The bathroom is quite large with a straightforward hot shower. The property has a generator, so power cuts are not an issue. Acknowledging other reviews about proximity to the road - I am an extremely light sleeper and was able to sleep very peacefully. The road is really quiet at night. Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, even in this time of crisis. For us, the location was ideal. It's a few minutes tuk tuk from central town and Chandana will take you there himself on his own tuk tuk. He even picked us up every night at a moment's notice. Chandana is so smiley...he and his property lit up our stay!

It is a stunning location, situated in the forest, with amazing views of Ella Rock and the surrounding area. The room was large and comfortable, with stunning views to wake up to. The free breakfast was the best we’ve had in Sri Lanka. Thank you Amila and family - we had the best time and will definitely come back. Thank you for your hospitality and generosity!

We asked for tuk tuk for round trip, they found best price for us, we asked about taxi to Yala - they found the best price for us. Anything we need they helped with! And you are in the middle of forest, no rush, just trees, monkeys and few other animals. Really nice stay we enjoyed and would recommend to everybody. Thank you again for everything you did for us.

I had a wonderful stay at Ayubo Ella Bed & Breakfast in Ella, Sri Lanka. The hotel offers an amazing view and features three fantastic rooms. The owner, Wajira, is very accommodating, and the hotel's location, just 1.2 km away from Ella town and the train station, is convenient, taking around 20 minutes to walk. The staff is extremely friendly, and the breakfast they serve is superb. I also had the pleasure of trying their delicious dinner. The room was spacious with great facilities, and the view from it was brilliant. Overall, a fantastic experience with excellent hospitality and beautiful surroundings.
