Be prepared for the cold at night but the stunning sunset and sunrise will keep your body and spirit warm.

This was the highlight of my visit to Peru. I arrived on the Titicaca train in the early evening, and a driver had been organized to drive me to the local port, where I was escorted by Juan, an exceptional host in every sense of the word, to the island which he and his father had built. During my stay there, Juan invited me on mini tours around some of the islands, where I learned more about Uros culture and history. The Peruvian meals prepared by his wife Amalia were exceptional- always on time, delicious, substantial and inviting. I was never hungry. Juan ensured that my stay at Amalia was truly exceptional and something which I'll never forget- watching the starry nights from a comfortable and warm bed, enjoying the sounds of silence of the lake, being mesmerized by the sunsets, and learning more about the natural beauty and wildlife of the area. This was truly an amazing experience!

Carlos and his family were very friendly. we really felt at home and they helped us with everything (trips, transfers etc.) I would highly recommend this place if you want to visit lake titicaca. he also thought us about their culture and the place itself is really amazing and calm.

Situated in Puno, Titicaca Aruntawi Lodge Peru offers accommodation with views of the lake, and breakfast included every day. Eddy and his family are wonderful. They made getting to and from their island so easy (and we had a very early bus when we left). We stayed two nights and whilst this experience may not be for everyone, it has been a highlight of our trip so far. The accommodation is (and has to be) very simple. You're on a floating platform of reeds! But it's a good size, the bed is comfortable and lovely and warm (helped by Eddy's mama's wrapped hot water bottles). It gets COLD at night as others have mentioned but tucked up snugly it doesn't matter. Bathroom facilities are verrrry basic, if you like cold water you're in for a treat. And it really isn't the place for anyone unsteady on their feet. You're walking on planks on top of reeds and climbing uneven stairs. If these are not an issue then treat yourself to a couple of nights there, it's magic. Also, Eddy includes a great 2 hour tour which is a must. He took us out at 10am and we had lunch at one of the other islands (also included).

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, Uros Samarana Uta Lodge is situated in Puno. Titicaca Lake is 7 km from the property. Everything. Beautiful experience.

Built on the floating islands of Uros, a 30-minute sail off the coast of Puno, UROS TITICACA LODGE Puno Peru offers accommodations in the highest navigable lake in the world. We loved our stay, it was an incredible experience, a once-in-a lifetime adventure into a totally different world. We were absolutely blown away by the floating islands on Lake Titicaca. Our room was lovely, the food was excellent, and we were treated so well. Every night, Ivan's dad would bring us hot water bottles for our beds. Both Ivan's mom and dad create the most beautiful crafts, displayed throughout the Lodge.

Located on Uros floating island, Uros Summa Paqari is situated in Puno, 7 km from Titicaca Lake. Puno Port is 5 km away. All rooms are fitted with private bathroom facilities. The location had amazing views - what else could you ask for being situated in the middle of Lake Titicaca. Vidal and his family were lovely and friendly. The rooms was exactly as the photo depicted. Our favorite spot would be the lounge area by the lake where you can just sit the whole day. The bathroom is also very comfortable - their toilet is flushable and they have a water heater. Lots of blankets are provided to keep you warm during the night. The food they served though simple was actually one of the best we had in Peru, and that's after dining at Lima and Cusco.

Located 5 km off the coast of Puno and built on the Uros floating islands, Uros Qhantany Lodge offers accommodations in the middle of Lake Titicaca. The coast of Puno is a 30-minute sail away. Perfect place to relax and chill ! The family is very welcoming and so nice ! Everything was perfect ! It was an amazing experience to sleep in the traditional island
