Situated in Geres, in a historic building, 700 metres from Geres Thermal Spa, Chalet Villas Gerês is a recently renovated villa with an outdoor swimming pool and garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Rooms are equipped with a balcony with mountain views. We loved the perfectly situated chalet, the views, and the care the owners have put into welcoming us, thus making our stay highly memorable.

Natur Waterpark is 25 km from Muas Guest House, while Douro Museum is 38 km away. The nearest airport is Francisco Sá Carneiro, 95 km from the accommodation, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. What a view! We got a balcony room overlooking the mountain and towns below, as well as the pool and cute bar area downstairs. The room itself is quite small, but the bed was great and we really stayed here to be near the scenic area and Fisgas de Ermelo, the truly epic waterfall within a 20 minute drive of the property through the beautiful mountain area. The host was great, friendly to talk to and gave us some great tips (plus a quite good affordable bottle of wine for the evening). Make sure to bring dinner with you or stop before you come for the evening as there is nothing in the immediate area. Breakfast was quite good too. There is also a pool and hot tub, although it was too cold for us to use those (even in July). Overall, if you're driving through the area, it's worth a stop!

The view seeing the river between the trees and hearing the songbirds in the morning gives you a feel of nature. The recommendations from the owner for viewoints and hiking were very helpful. He also recommended us very good restaurants.
