You can enjoy the peace and quiet here and with a scooter that you can rent from the owner you can quickly reach the village of Phong Nha where there is plenty to do. The family is very helpful and hospitable and you can communicate well with the daughter who speaks good English. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet, the delicious food (breakfast and dinner were delicious!) and the option to rent a scooter and drive around so you can experience the real life of Vietnam. There are also bicycles for rent and tours and taxis can be arranged. You can enter the national park with a guide. You can book various tours to caves (world famous) and you can do a jungle trek. In short, a great homestay with a very sweet, hospitable family, large clean rooms with a wonderful bed and plenty to do in the area.
