Set on the banks of the Tugela River, 22 km north of Winterton, Tugela River Lodge features self-catering accommodation 13 km from Spioenkop Nature Reserve and 22 km from Winterton Museum. Everything is made with so much passion and love. Couldn’t be better. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The lodge is situated very nice and surrounded by a beautiful environment. I will definitely come again.

The cottage was comfortable and well-equipped, even having a hair dryer, a rarity in South Africa! The setting, with sweeping views of the mountains, is spectacular, and the location is very convenient, just a short drive from restaurants in Underberg. Barry, our host, was warm, friendly, and very helpful!

Wouldn't change a thing. Tranquility at its best! Rooms clean, food superb, and staff friendly. Beautiful hikes, horse riding, fishing.... Loved the fact it was exclusive and not loads of people. Need to spend a week there next time!
