Nothing much to do in Grödig, but it's perfectly situated for car travels to nearby nature attractions (and there are many within 30 min drive) and for visiting Salzburg by public transport. The village has everything one needs for comfy stay (supermarket, couple of restaurants...)

We made a family trip around Salzburg, but we do not like to stay in cities, so we stayed in this little village, which is just outside Salzburg. We have visited the Salt Mine in Hallein, which was wxcellent and the Untersberg, using the lift, with a very nice outlook to the area around.NorbertAustria

Family run by such welcoming people, it was a place we decided that we need to come back to. The rooms were traditional, comfortable and clean. Our room’s view out over the mountains all covered with snow was magical. We ate at the restaurant downstairs and the food was great. The bedroom and bathroom are a little tight for space, but the mattress is comfortable and the shower is very good. There is one flight of stairs up to the apartment. It is on a quiet street within walking distance to grocery stores. We recommend.

The host is really friendly and accommodating and knows a lot about what to do in the area. The pension is located in a beautiful area with a lovely view and the bus to Salzburg is really close by. The centre of Grodig has a couple of really nice places to eat and grab a drink. I would definitely recommend staying here.
