We stayed in the hotel for a week. The check-in process was easy and fast. Natalia was (Front desk) was extremely nice and helpful at all times. She remembered my name from the check-in process. She went the extra mile to help us when needed.
Breakfast was amazing. We loved the food. Great variety and everyone working at the restaurant was amazing.
We went to the beach and used their umbrellas and chairs, there was someone very nice working there and setting everything up for the guests. The beach was clean and there wasn't a lot of people there.
The pool was nice, big and not crowded at all.
There is a small mall a few minutes from there, you can either walk or ride a taxi there, with restaurants and shops. It is nice a very nice area.

Couldn’t ask for a better location. A couple of blocks away from the park, good restaurants and bars. But far enough away to be quiet at night. Good breakfast and friendly staff.

The beaches to the south of Santa Marta, and those near Tayrona National Park, are gorgeous. The town of Santa Marta, itself, is a big, noisy, dirty town and I've been told the beaches aren't great. But I stayed at Bello Horizonte and then at a hostel south of Rodadero and the beaches were great.

I stayed in areas between the airport and Santa Marta.
I stayed in areas between the airport and Santa Marta. I am glad I didn’t stay in the city, it is big and dirty. But the surrounding areas I stayed in, Bello Horizonte and just south of Gaira, had lovely calm beaches.
The bus drivers were mostly very kind but a few of them must have had to pass a stupid test or were just plain mean, as I often was unclear as to where to get off, and some ignored requests for help.

So many homeless people defacating and urinating in every corner. Constantly bothered for money and food. During the nights approached by underage prostitutes in front of ineffective police. The cigarette sellers openly offer cocaine and other drugs and the noise from the bars competing with each other is just plain ridiculous. Extremely disappointed to find that all the beautiful pictures are of beaches only accessible by boats and 4WD vehicles meaning you pay through the nose to get to them.and get herded everywhere in groups. If you want natural beauty on the Caribbean… go to Tolu.

We were expecting a beautiful beach with sunbeds, but it didn´t look very appealing to spend time there, so we had to go to Rodadero instead, it is of course crowded there, but the beach is nicer. The service is unfortunately not better and we also couldn´t find sunbeds at the beach, just chairs and the price was exagerated
This hotel is absolutely fabulous and is an oasis of quality in Santa Marta. Everything about it was great: the rooms were spacious, the bathrooms were spotless and modern, the rooftop pool was a great place to relax. But the best part of this hotel is the staff, especially Jesus Eduardo, Jesus Miguel and Eliana. They constantly went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, anticipated all our needs and really made Placita Vieja feel like a home away from home. It’s the only place I’ll ever stay in Santa Marta.
Highly recommended. Comfortable, clean, quiet hotel just a few short blocks from the center of Santa Marta. The owners, Liliana and Luis, are warm, attentive, and patient while answering all my questions. Staff are also very kind and helpful. One even cleaned my hiking boots that were mud-laden from the Ciudad Perdida trek, and they now look brand-new.
(Don't forget the hammocks on the rooftop -- a delightful way to laze your afternoon away.)
I loved the cleanliness of the whole property and room. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We arrived early before our checkin and they offered to store our luggage while we waited for our room to be ready and ate lunch. The staff also helped us book safe taxis to get around the city. The amenities were also fantastic! My husband and I will absolutely come back to the AC Hotel next time we’re in Santa Marta.
The hotel building and pool area are very beautiful.
The room was basic, but clean.
The bathroom had a long counter with two sinks, and a shower with a rainfall shower head.
There was a small balcony.
The hotel had two separate deck areas - both with gorgeous views of the hills, El Rodadero city, and Rodadero Beach.
The pool area was pretty.
The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good.
We had an amazing time in Casa Hotel Rosa. We felt that the personal wanted to made us feel like home and it was completely the case ! They were very kind, helpful and interesting. The place is really enjoyable and beautiful and breakfast was really good. Thanks to the atmosphere you just want to hangout in the common place. We would definitely go back to this place if we had to be again in Santa Marta!
This was a highlight of our stay in Colombia! The hotel is owned by a lovely couple that went out of their way to make life easier for my friend and I. The night guard was also amazing. He helped us plan our trip and was always greeting us with a smile.
Breakfast was good as well and the rooftop was very pleasant.
I had a two day layover out near the airport there after leaving Santa Marta, and I knew that there were some good beaches within easy walking distance of this hotel. There are a few small stores and Family-style eating establishments in the immediate area, but nothing too fancy.
I wasnt a fan of Rodadero, but in terms of this Hotels location in the area it was great. Close to everything and the beach. The pool was nice, breakfast was decent, as expected. The room was great with good windows and blinds, a nice bathroom and shower and a comfortable bed.
While Santa Marta itself is not such a great please, this hotel is a cute place to stay with very friendly staff. It is close to the historic centre and well located to visit Parque Tayrona. The hotel has a small pool which is nice to cool off in.
This is an excellent hotel in a very central location. Me and my friends enjoyed our stay very much and the staff were very helpful and assisted us in all aspects/requests. The best experience in Santa Marta so far, we will certainly be back!
It’s a great value for money: room is nice and clean, there is all you need. Good internet connection and perfect location in Santa Marta. I also liked the design of the hotel. And, as almost everywhere in Colombia: great staff.
Awesome location to go diving or to get to tayron park, it's right in the historical centre of Santa Marta. The hotel was exceptionally clean, the staff did everything to accommodate our needs. Awesome breakfast included.
The staff were very helpful, lovely facility (other than some construction), our suite was large, good breakfast. Best value for money and our favorite hotel we stayed at in Colombia
I had selected this hotel for it's location in Santa Marta & proximity to a tour we were taking the next day. The room was clean and the staff were helpful & friendly.
Excellent hotel, in a great spot in Santa Marta, with really lovely and helpful staff. All in all an excellent stay, would recommend to anyone in/ around Santa Marta.
