The hotel is a 5*+ in my opinion. The multiple SPA facilities, many special saunas, food and drinks at the highest level.
The receptionist DENIS SYKERYNEK, saw that we are veteran citizens He treated us above a reasonable level, with generosity, patience and hospitality. He went beyond his duties. He booked us a bus and saved us 12 hours of waiting at the airport. He guided and explained everything that was not clear to us. Exceptional room service. The cleanliness of the room is perfect. Anna ( ANUTA) went out of her way to change the sheets when we didn't ask because she thought otherwise.
We had a perfect stay!

Karlovy Vary owes its affluent grandeur to no fewer than 13 hot springs and a warm water river. Add to this its colourful façades and tree-lined hill setting, and it’s easy to see why it’s one of Europe’s most sophisticated spa towns.
The best views are from the Deer Leap and Diana Tower lookouts, both high above the Grandhotel Pupp, a famous 5-star hotel which starred as James Bond’s gambling retreat in ‘Casino Royale’. It also hosts an International Film Festival, but the city is really about the waters, a fact reflected in its English name – Carlsbad.
You can take the waters at the 5 springs under the Mill Colonnade, and the wrought-iron Market Colonnade houses 2 more. The Park Colonnade employs a similarly impressive style to protect 3 springs, while a geyser bursts up in the Hot Spring Colonnade. The Castle Tower overlooks the Castle Colonnade waters, and a thermal pool at Spa Hotel Thermal overlooks the city.
The beautiful churches of Karlovy Vary include the Russian-styled Church of St Peter and St Paul. The Moser Glassworks produce suitably high quality products, and the Jan Becher Museum provides an idea of what to fill them with – local Becherovka bitter.
Accommodation on Booking.com includes luxury hotels, city centre apartments and guest houses near Karlovy Vary Airport.

Karlovy Vary is a fabulous place, full of beautiful historical buildings. Additionally you can treat yourself with a mineral water pouring from the many fountains that you'll pass during a city walk - just remember to have your own cup or other vessel for water. We were quite astonished that Karlovy Vary is a kind of colony for reach Russians, and when you walk through the city the dominant language that you hear is Russian. If you'd like to experience local Czech cultures and traditional Czech food, it's just a walk away from the center.

The city itself is beautiful.
The city itself is beautiful. Its location at the riverside with historical-looking buildings and hot springs is exceptional. However, what the city has in architecture, it lacks in facilities, especially restaurants. In general, there are only two major types of places where you can eat: beer houses and places serving Italian cuisine. The food in most of these is pretty good, but it is super expensive - two or three times pricier than what is considered normal in the rest of the country. I figure that you are paying extra for being served in the middle of nowhere at the national border, but it just felt too much. I now think of the city as being home to the posh millionaires who couldn't care less about how much they spend on food and other services.

You can make many trips around both with travel agencies and on your own, using the offers of the Karlovy Vary Card, which you can buy on the Internet. Be sure to visit the Becherevka Museum, the tasting in the morning was very useful) The food is very dense, but you can find a Georgian restaurant, sushi and wonderful desserts.

I wanted to stay at least 2 nights in the Karlovy Vary because we missed the spa and some historical point including the Goethe house and view point. However, it was great chance to taste the water of emperor and the original wafer snack.
A comfortable traditional hotel located near the river that runs through the valley, within easy walking distance of the various springs, shops and restaurants. We had a spacious room with good seating. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we have seen anywhere in Northern Europe; very varied in terms of content ( we were there 3 nights and there were new items each day), carefully presented and well managed by attentive staff .
Location and price are on point and great that they are part of booking's loyalty program.
The triple bedroom, was spacious and cozy. With all the standard amenities you would need. I was surprisrd that you even have a safe in the room, more something i would have expected from a 4/5 star hotel.
Finally, the hotel has a restaurant at the entrance with a great view, definitely a plus and good prices overall.
Breakfast buffet was extensive, great and very fresh. Room was very nice, bed was very good, table with 2 chairs, an additional "easy" chair. Bathroom was spacious, new towels were provided each single day. Staff was very friendly. Elevator available. So I would highly recommend Hotel Romania as a very nive place to stay and spend your holiday in Karlovy Vary. A+++ recommendation.
Hotel is amazing. Location is great and there is free parking in front of hotel, but with limited spaces. Hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Inside of hotel is beautiful, rooms are large, quiet and very comfy. All is very clean and tidy, bathroom especially. Bathroom contains shower and bathtub and it is very specious. Food was good, but very limited choice.
The apartment is a baroque wet dream. The location is amazing, just outside the spa part of Karlovy Vary, but still with normal shops, party bars and parking. If you like hearty breakfast go to Cafe Picollo, they will make you scrambled eggs or ham-and-eggs like your grandmother did. Overall great experience any you get a cuckoo clock with Moscow time!
The most beautiful and luxurious hotel in Karlovy Vary with the best location and perfect service. Everything is very new and sparkling clean, wonderful interior design and atmosphere. The staff on the reception and in the breakfast room were kind and helpful. We asked for a late check out and they gave us more time. The cleaning was also great.
This is a spacious apartment in a nice building with a lift. It overlooks a quiet road with minimal traffic noise. It is easy walking distance to the Grand Hotel Pupp and the base of the Diana Funicular. It was well heated and the kitchen well equipped. There are some restaurants nearby.
Excellent location just in the middle of spa area. We could park just in front of the hotel. The hotel is in excellent, old-fashioned condition and clean. The male front desk person was really friendly and helpful for all we needed inside the hotel as well as activities outside.
The location was perfect to explore Karlovy Vary, everything was within a short walk. The included breakfast was delicious and had so many options. Our room was very spacious and had a great view of the street below. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely return!
Breakfast was great. Location is also great. The hotel is bit old and quite small, it could definitely use a renovation. The room was very spacious just quite outdated, TV only had Russian TV stations, no Czech programs or international programs so that was bit weird.
Dear Grandhotel Pupp,
we had a truly amazing experience in your wonderful hotel! The stuff, the comfort, the food! Everything was completely perfect and we are looking forward to come back to Karlovy Vary!
Thank you
Best regards
Good breakfast, good spa, room is spacious. Hotel is situated in a quite zone within a 15 min walking distance to the main street with all springs. Parking is a big plus as well. Spring water can be drank directly in the hotel.
Rooms were spacious and clean!Good breakfast was included in the room rate and that was a plus:)The city center of Karlovy vary is easily accessible by Bus no. 2 and bus stop is Right opposite to the hotel.
One of the nice old upscale hotels. It is positioned in the top of the hill in silent part of Karlovy Vary. Rooms are spaceuos, nicely decorated, energy crisis is not excuse for reduced service.
Super apartment! Comfortable, clean, spacious. We've appreciated different pleasant details: a big TV, a good coffee machine, umbrellas, special cups to drink Karlovy Vary mineral water etc.
The location was amazing, and it was a really good spot in town. All negatives aside if you want to be in the centre of Karlovy Vary, it's the right hotel. Rooms are spacious.
Very comfortable apartment perfectly aligned with character of Karlovy Vary. The host was very welcoming and even organized a paid parking space for us.
