This is a lovely friendly pub with rooms. The rooms are clean and very comfortable with good beds and plenty of hot water. The breakfast is generous and delicious. We had an evening meal and it was great. The staff are so welcoming and professional. There are walks from the door and it is in a stunning location. Everything was perfect we would definitely return if visiting the area.

Great venue if attending a function at the Lodge. Good place but needs some attention to detail. Bathroom, shelves needed and general upgrade. Self catered there, a few more kitchen utensils would help. Very narrow roads and heavy traffic at times.
We appreciated the Mendips and surrounding countryside.

Only stayed one night as we were going to Bristol that evening for a family meal. Seems a very quiet out of the way place in a countryside setting. When we were there a group of about 6 walkers were staying so there must be good walking in the area; Cheddar Gorge is not too far away by car.

Blagdon is a nice quiet village.
Blagdon is a nice quiet village. Friendly people and uniquely placed for a UK trip. We had just travelled from Havant to take in the Wooky Hole and a drive through the Chedder Gorge prior to our stay. The Plume Of Feather was most welcoming with excellent food and friendly staff. Pets are allowed within the confines but not sure about an overnight stay. The only downside for us was the steepness of the steps to the landing on the 1st floor, but this is a minor quip because the stay, location and people make the location a must visit and we would certainly not hesitate to use or suggest the Plume Of Feathers to anyone looking for a restful stay in the confines of a rural village

Great stay comfortable place.
Great stay comfortable place. Busy road outside can be a bit hazardous to cross to get to park but a gorgeous view and lovely area. With the difficulties of covid restrictions the hotel deals well with these and the service continues with these in place that includes friendly service and staff. The room does experience noise from the bar below either the noise of customers or the clearing of furniture after hours. But if prepared for this it can be excused. Noise from other rooms also can be disturbing if you need a lie in!?

Village has a shop, route around reservoir is good.
Village has a shop, route around reservoir is good. Saw herons, ducks and much other wildlife. Good base for Cheddar, Wells, Bath/Bristol, Weston-Super-Mare and Glastonbury/Street. The Plume of Feathers was very personable and changed menu daily to reflect local availability.

Blagdon is in a beautiful area with wonderful countryside and a large lake and 2 pubs open 12~2 and 6~10 with a nice selection of lunches and evening meals great if you are on a walking or camping trip though not good for the disabled with its high hills ok for a nights stop over but personally not for myself or my disabled wife.
We loved our stay; the location, tranquility, the accommodation was excellent. Regarding the Seymour Arms staff, they were exemplary. This was extended from Mark Murray the manager, through to every member of the staff that gave us a fantastic service( we came with our little jack Russell and they treated us like royalty). The food was excellent( we had breakfast and evening meals). We cannot speak highly enough of this establishment, so much so we have booked again.( Ssshh, don't want to say it too loud, everyone will be coming here!!).
Beautifully designed, immaculately clean and comfortable, dog friendly, studio barn conversion, with lovely views. It was absolutely perfect for our needs. We wanted ground floor accommodation, with a fully enclosed garden for our dog to recuperate, for a couple of days, after an operation in nearby Bristol. George was helpful and friendly, without being intrusive and there were so many lovely, thoughtful touches like dog treats and towels for the dogs and a personalised message on the blackboard ❤️
Lovely pub in a great location on the north of the Mendips. Staff all friendly, and breakfast and evening meals we had in the pub were great. Room tidy, large and comfortable Would happily visit again. Landlord gave us the recommendation to visit Wilkins Cider Farm , which turned out to be the highlight of our tour of Somerset! Good walking from the doorstep, and easy reach to the local reservoirs / lakes and also Bath was only just over half an hour away.
A great find ... a tranquil oasis deep in the Somerset countryside but well located to explore the area or just enjoy the peace and calm. The accommodation is compact but full of thoughtful and humorous details, the bed is extremely comfortable and the small garden is a real suntrap. Highly Recommended
Lovely historic pub less than ten minutes from Bristol airport. Friendly owners (the landlord, Dave cooks a brilliant full English and was fun to chat with), cozy bar and good food. Comfortable room too. 10/10 highly recommend and would stay again.
Loved the area for exploring and walking
Accommodation was an old dairy which made interesting accommodation.

Good local pub for both food and cider - plume of feathers
This is the cutest hotel in the cutest town I’ve ever been in. The staff was exceptional. Both breakfast and dinner were amazing! Room was bigger than I expected, and the bed was very comfortable.
Great location! It was so close to the Bristol airport, but no noise at all. The pub is in a beautiful, peaceful spot. The pub food was good too. We highly recommend this place.
the breakfast was very good the location was good. What we liked was that our pet was allowed in in all parts of the hotel and was treated like a human
