The room was spotless and the shower was superb. The breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of room for parking. We have a dog and the grounds were nicely mowed for walking her. I highly recommend this location.

Had an overnight stay here following the cheese festival and not 1 thing to complain about.
Owners were so friendly and very helpful, rooms wowed us all, food was excellent and such a cosy atmosphere.
Just an overall great experience and will definitely stay here again.
Thankyou x
Bourne is a small place but plenty of facilities. Stamford is only just down the road and has everything you could wish for. So, you can have a busy day shopping and siteseeing in Stamford and return to the tranquility of Bourne for a quiet night and a good sleep.
Smithys is good for eating and there are several nice pubs in easy walking distance. Even the Wetherspoons has friendly staff

Stayed here to visit family nearby- traveled to Peterborough and Stamford whilst staying overnight in Bourne. Both were within reasonable travelling distance- half hour drive.
Bourne itself is a small town with cafe's and shops- really pleasant.

I grew up in Bourne and was only revisiting to attend a family funeral. The surrounding countryside to the north and west is however lovely and Stamford, where I was born, is a beautiful town to visit.

Bourne is a beautiful little village set in wonderful countryside. Perfect for a quiet break or country walks. We only visited the actual town once since we spent our actual stay in Toft and Northorpe so cannot comment on other attractions/activities available. Our focus is always the countryside and it really is a lovely area for walks, birdwatching, butterflies and other flora and fauna.

Room was clean but rather small, as was the bathroom.
Room was clean but rather small, as was the bathroom. The bathroom appliances worked fine though. Noise carried from the room above and the ceiling creaked loudly when people walked above our room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The full English breakfast was freshly cooked and of excellent quality.
The lad that stayed here told me that he really doesnt like hotels. Unfortunately on this occasion we didnt have any choice but to choose a hotel (as it saved him 10 hours of travelling) however after he came back from here he made a point of mentioning how much he enjoyed the experience. All good and no bad points. 5 mins travel from our location, friendly people, good breakfast, nice comfy decor. Overall a really good stay and will definitely be booking him in here again if there ever is a requirement for a hotel overnight stay.
The Barn, right in the middle of Bourne has a massive open space above two very comfortable bedrooms. Upstairs there’s everything you could possibly need in terms of a very well fitted out kitchen, dining area and comfortable sofa, TV etc. There is also a gated courtyard where you can park. Great for not having to take everything out of the car. Roger the owner also has most of the small things you need to get started in the kitchen, milk, coffee, ketchup, dishwasher tablets etc. Excellent!
I liked my room wonderfully decorated and furnished with a colonial theme harping back to the days of the Raj. The positioning of the hotel in the centre of Bourne Town was perfect with free car parking behind which is not owned by the proprietor and a bit tricky to find. The staff were warm and friendly and the breakfast was splendid..
Beautiful restaurant and hotel, very comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Nice and quiet overnight too. We were in Bourne for just one night for a family party so didn't have the chance to book for dinner, but we would definitely like to go back and try that as well!
A lovely pub/hotel in a quiet village. Friendly, laidback staff, pleasant room, no problems with hotel at all. The only thing I would improve to make it absolutely outstanding is to have a small fridge in each room - but that goes for 90% of hotels anyway!
Very quiet, cozy. Lovely view. Whilst it's in a small village, Bourne is 5 minutes' drive away, Stamford a little further and Peterborough is about 20 minutes drive. The property has a very good list of local pubs, restaurants etc
The Bull has been transformed by Leo and his wife. They have made this pub very welcoming and their background in the hotel industry really shows. Comfortable surroundings, good food and beer. Definitely recommended
lovely friendly staff, perfect location, and yummy breakfasts! Room was clean, tidy and tasteful decor. A very understated hotel from the outside, which I’d recommend to anyone needing an overnight stay in Bourne.
The hotel was very good and the restaurant well subscribed. We had an evening meal there which was excellent, and highly recommended. Our rooms were situated on the ground floor which was fine.
We were extremely happy with all the services. I recently had hip surgery, and they gave us a room with the least stairs, which was greatly appreciated. Thank you, the Angel Hotel team. Angela
Good value! Very convenient for a short trip to Bourne. Comfortable for two but perhaps a little cosy with two beagles! Would definitely consider booking it again however
