Perfect choice of breakfast and evening meal.
All staff gave very friendly, calm service, and sought to meet our need for less stairs: gave us room on the lower floor when it became available - to cater for my partner's arthritic hip.
Enjoyed the view of the sea,
Very roomy, extremely comfortable bed, with lots of pillows and cushions,
No hassle to leave by 10 am!
Many thanks for three very comfortable nights

Ideal central location for St Ives. We travelled by train and the Hotel was only a few minutes walk away. Our rooms were very clean and tidy.
The breakfast arrangements were very simple and our cooked breakfast was very quick to arrive. All took place in a friendly environment with kind helpful staff.
Overall a very relaxing enjoyable stay. We wouldn't hesitate to book again.

What a picturesque town with outstanding natural beauty and so much to see in the way of art and ceramics. It does get very crowded during holiday times so I would recommend going out of season. Highlights include the Tate St Ives, the Barbara Hepworth Studio, the various galleries and the beaches. The walking could be difficult for anyone with limited mobility but there are ways around that in terms of getting transport. A really stunning spot. Plenty of excellent places to eat from beach cafes to independent bakeries and coffee shops to fish restaurants. It seemed that everywhere was very dog friendly too and many visitors were there with their dogs.

I’ve been coming to St Ives for 50 years so I’m slightly biased but it is a beautiful place with 5 beaches. Numerous good places to eat. Lovely little shops with different crafty bits in. Mostly flat when you are in the town area. Good location for exploring more of Cornwall if needed but plenty to see and do in St Ives.

I visited on the New Year holiday which was marvelous except for the weather. A force 8 gale with 15ft seas was recorded. Nevertheless a good time was had. The whole town went bat sh*t bonkers on New Years Eve by dressing up outrageously. The whole event concluded with a magnificent firework display.
Visitors lodged in the Old Town need to be nimble as do those going to No 85, which has narrow and awkward stair access to bedrooms.
Frail or people with compromised walking really ought to swerve this St Ives. The streets are steep, one car wide (although two way) and very narrow.
Try “One Fish Street” for a delicious, although expensive dinner. I’m a chef and I ‘rate’ this restaurant.
We booked a larger room with sea views. The view was outstanding… across to St Ives, and in the distance Godrevy Lighthouse and Gwithian beach. Had double windows in the room with settee from where we could enjoy the view. The bed was superbly comfortable. Some might find the hotel slightly old fashioned - but for us that was part of its charm. Staff were genuinely lovely. Food good quality and nicely cooked ( not posh haute cuisine but plentiful and good). Suited us very well.
Superb quality of everything. The attention to detail in making this a perfect, warm, welcoming home away from home is unparalleled in most places. Perfect for staying in on rainy days with beautiful views of the harbour, utterly comfortable mattress and inviting living space. I am a fussy traveller and was delighted with the comfortable luxury that was Manderley Penthouse. Massive thanks to the owners for creating such a wonderful haven to relax and rejuvenate in.
Stayed in one of the beach villas for four days. Stunning location on the beach with close views of the sheer power of the sea and beautiful Carbis Bay. The decor was sumptuous and an excellent venue for a family. Loved the privacy and ready access to the hotel and six restaurants.
Restaurants were fabulous and ranged from fine dining through a range of styles, all sumptuous varied and sophisticated.
Lovely lounge by the log fire. Really great experience!
Sitting on a hill, the Harbour View House had a really great view of the harbor and St. Ives. The room was very comfortable and overlooked the harbor. The breakfast was very good and the bar area also overlooked the harbor and was a very pleasant place to have a drink. The access to the center of St. Ives required only a ten-minute walk so it was a very quiet place to stay. It's also a very short walk to the rail station.
Clean, warm and furnished well. Had all the facilities and space needed for a family getaway. Lovely outdoor space for the children to play in. Walked into St Ives (and back!) along the coast - the children loved it. Plenty to do and explore. Plenty of parking (albeit slightly away from the property but this didn’t bother us). Taxis back were fairly cheap (after a family wedding). The children can’t wait to return.
The hotel location was absolutely ideal for us as we tried making a trip from Derbyshire via train and left the car for a change. The hotel was right there above the station, this really worked!
Our room was comfortable too and I've got to say that the staff were exceptionally helpful. We actually discussed, at the desk, a return visit for September.
Hopefully we shall be back at The St. Ives bay Hotel very soon.
It was clean, we stayed in a ‘gold’ pet friendly chalet - I think ‘gold’ is a little misleading. Functional, clean, warm - could benefit from a plug air freshener you can smell dogs (but to be expected in a dog friendly accommodation):
The site was clean, the woodland walk was nice, the staff were welcoming, pizza nice from restaurant.
Location good as a base for exploring Cornwall. Carbis Bay beach stunning.
Really comfortable bed and extremely clean and well decorated bedroom with spacious beautiful ensuite. We didn't mind parking approx 100 yds down the road and the B&B covered the cost as not enough parking on the driveway. Nice walk down to Carbis Bay (steep obviously!) Beautiful garden and host warm and welcoming; we were allowed to arrive early to get ready for a wedding at Carbis Bay hotel which was great!
It’s in a stunning location Carbis Bay not far from St Ives, walk to the end of the street & their are buses that take you into St Ives in 5 mins. The room was small but the bed very comfortable & spacious bathroom. The breakfast was delicious & plenty of choice. The host’s are very friendly & suggested lots of attractions to visit in the area. I recommend this B & B when visiting Cornwall.
Great location, easy to walk into St Ives and wonderful house to stay in. Had best nights sleep in the comfy beds. The host was friendly, gave clear directions re house and responded promptly to any queries.
The extra touches eg bathrobes, welcome pack added to our stay in this beautiful house in St Ives, Cornwall. Perfect place to come home to after walking & sightseeing.
This is a charming hotel with an amazing location, right on the ocean. Views are terrific! We very much enjoyed the heated pool with ocean view too! The room is small but adequate and we were located right off of one of the lovely outdoor patios. The restaurant was good and the location near town was perfect. We had a great stay at the Pedn Olva.
It was perfect, and a great location right next to Carbis Bay Beach Hotel.Spotlessy clean and beautiful decor throughout. You can walk into St Ives and then catch the train back.Fabulous views of the sea and beach that is just a few minutes away.Thankyou Marco for letting us stay in your beautiful house, it's fab.
This hotel main strength is its location. It offers a panoramic view over probably the best beach is St Ives and it is only 10 mins walk from the town centre. The spa is also very clean and functional.
The well designed, clean rooms were very comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful with lots of choices. the staff was friendly and very helpful. Able to walk to most everything as hotel was central.
The family that ran the hotel were extremely accommodating and the property and room were stunning. Far exceeded our expectations. Would highly recommend.
