Julie was a perfect host. She was exceptionally kind and friendly, offered many useful tips and even a present upon departure! The room was spacious, perfectly equipped including in the kitchen (breakfast made twice at home). It was also fresh at night, which is not the rule in August.

Very quiet. No one bothers you unless when being helpful to your requests. Absolute silence ...you can fully relax. There is a dining area .. you can see foid being cooked in the wood burning oven.

We were offered delicious local Cretan treats on the day of arrival. The property is beautifully renovated, one of the nicest buildings in Kavousi. The owners have paid much attention to even the slightest detail. Kafenes is in a central, yet quiet location.

Mochlos a magical village right on the beach.
Mochlos a magical village right on the beach. Very cosy and convenient with shops and tavernas serving delicious fresh local food. It is bit remote, but it's a good thing in our eyes. Views to die for everywhere. Lots of ancient history on every corner. Mochlos is a good place to make your base camp. You can rent a car and travel around exploring nearby beautiful scenery, beaches, tavernas and history of Crete. We miss it already.

Small town with a lot of tourists mainly from France. In the town there is a mini-market and several concept shops. You can feel as being to far from urban noise, like a time travel back years ago (in positive sense).

Mochlos is a charming port with the ancient island of Mochlos very near. If you go to George's taverna he will take you there on his little boat for a small fee. Well worth the trip. There are a few restaurants, bars and boutique shops around a very small location.

It has not been destroyed by the tourism industry yet, I wonder how long. Nice little town right by the sea. There are rather small rocky beaches in Mochlos. Clean and warm water. Beaches without sunbeds or umbrellas but showers mostly. Excellent restaurants with local food and seafood by the beaches. The drink bars are also nice.

Wonderful wonderful wonderful. Excellent scenery, super hospitality and delicious varied food from a great choice of tavernas. Cafes and cocktail bars to while away an hour or two day or night. Perfect in every way. I would recommend that anyone young or old visits this delightful haven.

Mochlos is a beautiful village, it has one woodcraft shop, the guy makes amazing things from wood! One boutique with very unique clothes, and few taverns with the best food. Cooking like mama and fresh fish... yummy! It is perfect for relaxation and family vacations, and just great for romance. If you want a live place with lots of clubs etc., don’t choose this one. Just two bars with delicious cocktails.mariaGreece

It was located just by the seaside, so you could sunbathe at the balcony or just jump to the sea almost straight from the apartment. Mochlos itself is a lovely tiny village, with a great atmosphere. Life is slow, food is great and people are very friendly. Our host Maria was really helpful and kind - late check in was not an issue and we felt very much taken care of over the entire stay.

We’ve never seen such a beautifully landscaped garden and aesthetically designed villa. The little village of Mochlos is only a 5 minute walk away and has a few very cute taverns and a little market with all necessities. We had the best time at Villa Nuez and our 2-year-old daughter loved it as well! We will definitely be back.
