We had a room on the edge of the property which was very quiet with a view towards the beaching the sound of the sea at night. A well laid out property with 2 great pools. Lavish breakfast served in the beach side pavillon. Very relaxing and comfortable. The property is located away from the party strip and hence very quiet.

Hotel was very comfortable and location was superb. Beach and city both right next to you! Easy access to all restaurants and shopping plus all tour operators and excursions. Our room was on top floor so it was quiet and ac was a must! First floor rooms did not seem to have much privacy although some had private jacuzzi. I would prefer upper floor rooms for more quiet stay!

Excellent location, quite literally a stones throw from the beach and the main strip of Platanias. The bus stop is just down the road along with taxis.
The accommodation is very clean and comfortable. It has everything you'd need for a stay, even a hairdryer and straighteners for those in need.
Staff are so welcoming and friendly, easily contactable through the app and will help if they can.
Highly recommend, it made for a most wonderful stay

So many shops and places to eat, it's a bit like a time warp...
So many shops and places to eat, it's a bit like a time warp with no people pestering trying to get you to buy fake sunglasses and watches, even the shop/bar & restaurant staff leave you alone and let you make your own decisions. Also there is a world war 2 museum up the hill that is well worth a visit.

Good family oriented resort with lots of eating options from casual to more formal, international to traditional Cretan, close to visit Chania on an excellent bus service. Busy main road, but many apartments off side roads. Good Greek bars and restaurants, which I prefer. Although lots of modern bars and shops if you want. Couple of dancing bars, not if your face, no nightclubs which is good. Restaurants serving tradition food - Nisos (by sea), Sonos (by sea). Drosia (side road). Great cocktails and drinks at Utopia, great staff, more Greek like.

Was just ok, the rooms are clean but the furniture is old and the towels stained. Breakfast was good but the same every day, the beach in front not so clean and full of little stones. The employes war friendly, specially the cleaning ladies. The garden was well cared of, lots of flowers and trees.

Although Platanias is crowded and busy in the summer we found the hotel really quiet and relaxing. The pool was big and clean and there was a smaller one for kids as well. Pool towels are also provided with an extra cost. A pool bar /restaurant is at site with fair prices. The room was large and clean with comfortable beds and a kitchenette with all the necessary accessories.

The Staff was very helpful making my stay there very enjoyable, specially Maria (Receptionist) who helped me with several other bookings and traveling arrangements across Crete (renting a car for example). Very close to the beach, quiet, and next to bar where You can hire sunbeds. Good place for those who want to coock on their own - there is herb garden that You can use. Also, parking place. Very good base for trips all around western Crete. Host is also extremly friendly. Been there two weeks, will return for sure :)
