We loved the view over the roof tops and the partial sea view. The staff were exceptionally friendly and indulged my attempts at Greek for which many thanks! The breakfast was pretty good. We are vegan and it can be hard to cater for us but we didn't go hungry, and we provided our own plant milk. The hotel is very central but also quiet. A wonderful place to stay.

Hotel was in a great location facing the beach and easy walk into town. It had character and lots of different areas for sitting outside. Staff were lovely and we enjoyed this style of independent smaller hotel but still with all the facilities you needed.

Sitia isn't of itself pretty, but the region that surrounds it is full of treasures from Minoan sites and geological wonders through to highly trekkable gorges and ravishing views. A car is essential and exploring is well worthwhile for the smiles per mile.

Sitia is a small town, not very touristy as it's so far east. You need a car to get to Sitia and it's not an easy drive. However, it's definitely worthwhile making the effort to get there as it's a lovely town with a great beach . There are lots of excellent restaurants overlooking the sea.

If you're looking for a not too touristic, rather quiet place (of course, worth the compulsory beach bars and restaurants area), not too expensive but still nice and with friendly locals, that's your place. Not much to see/ visit in the city itself (not to say nothing at all) and also not the side of the island with a lot of stuff but I bet if you rent a car and go to Agios Nicolaos or the villages around you'll have a great time. Some stunning views on the way too!

I cannot tell if Sitia beach is good or bad, but on the eastern side of the island 20-30 km-s away there are fantastic beaches for sure. The view of the town from the east is wonderful. The stairs inside the town, with cats on them are charming. The people are kind. I could rent a car cheap, and travel around. I have seen nice places, for example the Toplou monastery...

    Cute city, lovely beaches.

Cute city, lovely beaches. Kalamia beach had great vibes, music, best Greek yogurt. Very very very steep and narrow roads. If you're not proficient with stick shift, get automatic or don't drive. Very scary to drive. Otherwise if you are good with walked, great Greek village. Lots of nice restaurants. Simple.

It was a dream vacation, really!!! Great place with charming views on Sitia and Sitia bay, and hills with clouds on them. Very helpful and friendly stuff, fresh, diverse and very tasteful food and drinks. Many places to go inside the hotel itself, it is more like an estate, with pools, gardens, and a private beach with a private pass underneath the highway. We will return to the Sitia Beach City!!

Very nice apartment, clean, very well equipped and comfortable for couple of nights in Sitia. Easy communication with the owner. Located about 10 mins walk down to the harbour with many good restaurants, bars and all the town centre. Free parking is possible on the street so that is a big plus! Would happily stay again.

We spent most of our time on the outdoor enjoying the panoramic view! The indoor is set up for entertainment, with musical instruments and a snooker/ping pong table! We used as a base to explore the beaches on the east coast and go for dinner at Sitia at night. The host left us some treats and made us feel like family!
