The facilities were superb! The perfect place to unwind and relax next to the sea and close to Athens. The Sikelianos villa is stunning. The area of the hotel, just by the beach and next to the forest makes it one of a kind.
The sea view form the room, especially during sunrise was amanig.
The staff all over the hotel was very polite.
A great add is the breakfast buffet with a huge variety of freshly made meals to choose from.

It’s a small seaside town that might be more of a summer destination as in winter it was a little dull, many shops closed. The town itself is not a destination I would recommend, but if you have a car it is very easy to explore the surrounding area and there you’ll find plenty of spectacular views and places you didn’t want to miss!

Xylokastro is a lovely town with nice beaches and a lot of nice restaurants and shops. You can enjoy a swim during the day at the main beach near the marina or at Pefkias in front of the forest and at night you can stroll along the beachfront and sit down at nice restaurants, ice cream shops and bars. It isn't too noisy and the whole place has a nice feel about it.

We will not return as really nothing much to do.
We will not return as really nothing much to do. Beach areas are all rocky or stones. Some beach side facilities but not much choice. The town is a bit sad with no shops other than 4 or 5 chemists ? no real atmosphere or character. The sea is reasonable clear but lots of stray dogs around and lots of plastic and litter left on the beaches.

Xylokastron is the next town along from Sykia.
Xylokastron is the next town along from Sykia. It has a very good selection of restaurants - all of a good standard. A special mention must be made to Taste Modern - fantastic food at reasonable prices.
Xylokastron is approx 1 mile from Sykia ( where the apartment is located) and is a typical greek town. Fairly low in tourists and the tourists that are there are primarily Greek. It has a number of large Supermarkets for provisions.
We absolutely loved the house! Tall ceilings & gorgeous antique furniture beautifully combined with modern day comforts. The detail in the decor kept us mesmerized during our three night stay. The house is spacious, has an aristocratic feel to it, meticulously cleaned and only a short, easy walk to the super market, bakery and main plateia of Xylokastro. I stayed with my two daughters, (14 & 18) and my father. All of us were impressed. Great value for the money too.
Xylokastro is beautiful town.
Apartment is a little bit away from the town so it is better to have a car.
Pool is lovely but there are no sunbeds and tables and you MUST not use sun protection lotion.
Basic things are available in the apartment, but nothing more. So you should bring even salt with you.
Air conditioning works fine when the card for the electricity is inserted.
It is north apartment so you have shade in the balcony.
WiFi is good, even for work.

The hotel is just across the street from the beach and overlooks the Gulf of Corinth. The view is simply amazing. The staff are very friendly and helpful; the bartender brought drinks to us on the beach. The room was very nice and breakfast had many excellent options.
It’s located about 30 minutes from the ancient Corinth site and less than a 10 minute walk along the waters from the town square and several restaurants.
Everyone that worked at the hotel was extremely nice, pleasant and went above and beyond to satisfy some other picky customers. They exceeded expectations of our group of 4 in every way. Breakfast was plentiful. Beds were box spring, not foam. Food was excellent. We ordered dinner late at night (they stay open to at least 10:30pm), and each of the 6 plates were very good.
The hotel is in a great location and recently renovated. The staff were friendly and professional. The rooms were perfectly cleaned every day. There is a small serviced beach club at the front which is perfect for a morning and evening swim, along with a coffee and toasted sandwich. The Seaview rooms have a great view of the Corinthian gulf and spectacular sunrises.
The location is very nice and the view excellent. Next to the hotel there is a forest for biking by the sea. Everybody was very polite and the hotel was quite. The breakfast and dinner at Palmer's restaurant is absolutely delicious!
All expected COVID-19 protocols kept. We will definitely come back.
Few steps from beach, having lot of space and only few people (even in August!). free shower available on beach. Big enough parking also is there.
Of course you need car to drive around.
There was also coffee, tea and some bread and jam.
There is also washing machine (we haven't use it however)
Excellent hotel in Xylokastro, located basically in the heart of the town, just a few minutes away from the town center by walking.
Room was very clean and tidy, with a nice view from the balconies.
Hotel stuff was exceptional: very helpful and friendly as they answered all our questions.
Stayed one night as a stopover on Gulf of Corinth. Nice clean room with small balcony overlooking the sea. Modern, well- designed hotel. Very good breakfast.
The town lacks the wow factor of many places in the Peleponnes but a good stopover after a long drive.
The staff is absolutely amazing, they are so attentive they are doing the extra mile to let you fill comfortable.
The hotel is greatly located near the see and the forest, it has a lovely view
The breakfast is also very good
We had an amazing stay! The Room was spotless with breathtaking views. The hotel's location was perfect, and having its own beach and pool was a big plus. Breakfasts were top-notch with a great buffet spread. Highly recommend!
The rooms were perfectly satisfactorily. The mattress and pillows were very comfortable, in fact the best in our 10 days ins Greece. Breakfast was great with a lot of choices so that no one would feel left out.
Home away from home :)
Very centrally located, the appartment is very comfortable, with all the conveniences and amenities we needed.
Thank you for a very relaxing welcome to Xylokastron.
See you again
We had a sea view room and we like smaller hotels so this was ideal for us. April is a great month to go, quiet, we had great weather and good value for money. The staff were very kind and caring.
One of those rare places which gives you a home- coming feeling. Definitely, if coming back to Xylokastro, it's Sugar Home. Thank You Katarina and Vamgelis
