La Ceiba is not really somewhere to stay for too long as it's really just a port town that you stay before going to the islands. It's got plenty of shops and restaurants to eat and see but generally, it's just another city that will fall into the back of your mind once you've left.

The food was great. Kayaking was fantastic. Las Hamacus hotel and Apart Pico Bonito hotel were both great places to stay. I would not recommend staying at the Omega Eco Jungle Tours Resort. The hospitality was terrible and the pool did not work.

The food was delicious. The menu consisted of Honduran favourites mingled with some popular German dishes due to the owner being German (I suspect) We were treated well by all of the staff. Outside you have tables and hammocks It’s close to the sea, close to the centre and the market, not far from the ferries to Utila and Roatan, and in the safest area of La Ceiba.
