The hotel is right in the centre of the town near to the sights and restaurants. But be aware it is on a steep hill. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection for breakfast. We had a junior suite with a good sized bathroom with shower and with a small balcony which offered a lovely view across the roof tops.

The villa was a wonderful place to stay!
The villa was a wonderful place to stay! The building was built in the 15th century but has all the modern amenities. Our host/owner Luca was so accommodating in every way. His staff prepared a delicious breakfast each morning with many varieties of local cuisine. He had even prepared a map and detailed itinerary for several day trips if we wanted to explore the surrounding towns and other sights. This hotel was an excellent find.

Volterra is a beautiful historic town and walking around the narrow streets feels like stepping back several centuries in time. Walking around the traffic free central area was a pleasure. We visited several historic buildings including the beautiful cathedral. Also some excellent museums with great collections and works of art. There are many lovely restaurants and cafes too which make Volterra well worth a visit.

Hosts are so nice people. They do their best. Smiley and helpful. Food in restaurant was excellent. I think it is the best restaurant in Tuscany. Swimming pool has wonderful view. Our room had fantastic terrace with view on every evening romantic sunset. Atmosphere is extraordinary. There are so much Italian climate in all hotel area. Truly Tuscany place in the middle of nowhere where you can feel calm and relaxed. Thank you for organizing such a great time for us.
Andrea is, by far, the best host we've ever had. He picked us up at the bus station and drove us to the property. He spent some time with us explaining the history of Volterra and recommended us museums and restaurants. The property is located inside the city walls and has stunning views. It is very spacious and the bathroom seems to have been just remodeled.
The property is nice considering that you are in the historic center of Volterra and who knows how old is the building. The room nicely decorated and very clean. I was surprised of the size of the bed!
The best was the staff extremely friendly and helpful., attentive to all our needs! Breakfast was also very good, with local products
A lovely location to access Volterra, San Gimignano and Colle di Val d'Elsa - giving options for food as there is nothing on the doorstep.
The roads, despite windy, are very good condition.
A very clean accommodation, in a beautiful, quiet area. Rolling hills as a wake-up view.
A big bathroom that has been very nicely refurbished.
super comfort bed In comfortably sized room with gorgeous view. fabulous breakfast with all homemade foods, very friendly staff - the owner and his wife so welcoming, friendly and helpful. just outside of the walled “city” of Volterra with its many restaurants. After 5 nights we were sad to leave. I 100% recommend this hotel!
Impeccable. Not your average stay in agriturismo. Ivana, Claudia and Genuino are professional hosts with long experience, Podere Marcampo could be considered a boutique hotel, with excellent rooms and facilities, good breakfast with breathtaking view, all in an outstanding location a few minutes from Volterra.
This place is absolutely lovely. A beautiful building in a wonderful location. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious.
The staff was very helpful in finding our way around Volterra. Lots of parking space.
When we left, we were sad to only have one night in this beautiful place
A charming hotel in a beautiful historic town. The pool is a great addition in the heat of summer. Breakfast was fine in a lovely courtyard. Staff were very friendly and the off street parking a bonus. Volterra has numerous lovely cafes and restaurants with historic churches and museums. Well worth a visit.
Truly charming location and local feel. The owners invested in high quality unique furnishings which makes it feel like you're on vacation in Volterra not a generic hotel. It is well appointed for our family of 5. Kitchen had everything needed to cook at home. Will definitely stay here again.
They are simply fantastic!! Claudia & Roberto are fantastic people! Starting from the first minute of comunication and ending with their apartments in midle of Tuscany, close to Volterra & Lajatico. Apartments are brand new, has everything that you will need for a stay. Thank You!
We went to Volterra for a wedding. Several guests stayed at Albergo Etruria. The place is well maintained, comfortable and adorable. The staffs are extremely friendly and helpful. If we ever go back to Volterra we will definitely stay at Albergo Etruria again !!!
It’s very central yet a tad offsides the many action. We recommend the Hotel for Toskana beginners that can’t yet decide what kind of hotel (vineyard, b&b or pension-style) suits them best! The hotel was all of the above combined and felt very cosy and home-ly!
Daniele and Paola were the best host what a guest can imagine. I strongly recommend this hotel. Really authentic enterior with perfect location.
The room was clean and good sized.
Breakfast was also perfect. It was a pleasure to spend some days here.
Great location, felt secure and on second floor above street as a solo traveler. Very clean, spacious for one person. Was met by a staff member upon arrival and was able to store luggage at a store across the street before leaving Volterra
Pros:
The hotel has parking and it's located at walking distance just at the bottom of the hill from one of Volterra's main gates.
The breakfast is exclusively vegan (good if you are vegan).
The rooms are spacious
Fantastic host. Comfortable bed and accommodations. Volterra is a mountain top city so be prepared for stairs in city and this apartment. Quiet and plenty of room to relax and rest weary legs.
It was great. Friendly staff in Hotel and Restaurant, it was clean. Breakfast was typical Italien.
Restaurant was very very good.
