The hotel was located across from the beautiful Chuzenji lake with very convenient public transportation. We were able to walk to the famous Kegon waterfalls and enjoyed the quaint small town vibe and amazing scenery, especially on the windy bus ride down to main town to visit the UNESCO sites.
The half board breakfast and dinner were delicious! Staff was friendly and helpful.
Guests can refresh at our free public indoor and outdoor onsen. The open-air onsen is surrounded by rocks from Mt. Nantai, which is said to be a powerful spiritual spot.

The couple running the inn were marvelous. Just so sweet, thoughtful and caring.
The room, facilities were nice.
Have to compliment the amazing food being served by them on request. I was so full but still couldn't stop eating.
We missed our bus to the train station early morning and the owners went out of their way to drop us.

Very typical. We had a ryokan dinner which was one of the highlights of our vacation. People don’t speak English very well but we’re super friendly to try understanding or explaining us the customs.
