The common kitchen area was nice. Fun to meet other guests and trade stories. We used the refrigerator and kitchen area for cooking. Worked out well. Rooms were clean and AC worked great! Well lit pathways at night was very appreciated after bio bay tours.

If you have dreamed of having your own private beach...Vieques is for you! Bring everything you need because there are no facilities on the beaches. Very beautiful, but I think Flamenco beach in Culebra is perfection. My fave is Luquillo Balnearion Monserrate...so convenient.

Most of the remote beaches on the east side are closed due to stray bombs. They do not advertise this fact well.
The social climate on Vieques is somewhat hostile. The vendors are dishonest, trying to rip you off. Lots of rude people, drunks and bums. A fistfight and shouting match broke out on our ferry ride. The locals and strays seem to be annoyed by the masses of tourists. The restaurants are a bit expensive.
Overall it's a huge hassle getting to the island and then finding a car/cart. You're probably better off staying on the big island beaches. That being said, it's a beautiful spot and there's some nice snorkeling spots.

We came to see the BioBay.
We came to see the BioBay. It is quite a chore to get over there, so make it worth your while! We ate at Bananas and talked with a few of the locals. Got to see the wild horses that are all around the island. Enjoyed a sunset walk oceanside.

Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities.
Vieques is gorgeous! There are so many beach opportunities. We visited only four beaches on this trip since we spent only one day on Vieques. However, we loved driving across the island on a golf cart and taking in all the scenes. The horses everywhere give it a magical feel, and everyone is so friendly and laid back. Make sure to have cash as many vendors/food trucks don't take cards. The bio bay is INCREDIBLE and should be on everyone's bucket list!!

If you just want to get away and relax Vieques is the place to go. Not a lot to do here, simply enjoy the beaches and relax.
Easy to travel around island. Love all the horses roaming the island.
Ferry easy and safe and inexpensive. Love the bio bay tour of the bioluminescence at night. Real highlight.
Food on island was delicious.
I had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful guest house during my recent vacation to the island, and it was an absolute dream. The guest house itself was charming and cozy, with comfortable furnishings and all the amenities you could need for a relaxing stay.
The location is great, the accommodations are comfortable and well-appointed, and the owners are some of the kindest and most welcoming hosts I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
Couldn't have asked for a better location and accommodation. Easy access to sun bay, the malecon, mosquito bay. The rooftop is open 24/7 and I snuck upstairs to watch the sunrise in the jacuzzi. The food and drinks at the restaurant are some of the best I've had and the wait staff was so attentive. My bed was super comfy. They provide you with a Hyrdroflask to refill water at the hotel. So no wasteful bottles.
Location was great, just a few steps and you’re on the Malecon, walking along the water. Beds were comfortable and there was decent water pressure with water that gets very hot. It’s self check in and out, but the hosts are pretty responsive via text. Air conditioning works well. All the staff at the adjoining bar are great (just don’t bother them when they are busy! That place gets slammed!)
Perfect location in the Esperanza - 2 minutes walk to the restaurants, 20 minutes walk to the best Vieques Sun Bay Beach, 7 minutes walk to pickup point for all Bioluminescent Bay excursions. The new owner made a lot of upgrades around the property that made out stay very pleasant. Our colorfull room was super clean with new bedding and very comfortable bed. I recommend to stay here.
The location was great. Among the hotels in town, this one was closest to the center of the city, making walking to breakfast a treat! The room was spacious, we had a gorgeous view of the ocean, and our room next to the ocean-side pool was terrific. They had beach chairs and coolers available for us to use, parking was easy, and they made up our room mid-stay - they offered!
The staff are incredibly friendly and the breakfast is delicious! The location is perfect in Esperanza and horses walk right up the road nearby. You also get a beautiful view of the ocean from the pool. Hacienda Tamarindo really felt like home for the few days we were on Vieques. A bonus is that with a little golf cart or car, you’re close to all of the beaches!
Finca Victoria was a magical stay, definitely one of the highlights of our trip. The breakfast is made fresh and served daily, you don't get a choice. More just a gorgeous vegetable / fruit mix appears in front of you. The whole hotel is vegan, so don't expect regular milk or eggs for breakfast. The staff were amazing too. The whole place is magic!
We had an amazing time at Vieques Good Vibe. The staff was super friendly and let us check-in before the expected hour (we had not slept the night before, so it was incredibly helpful to have a good rest). They welcomed us warmly and gave many good advices to fully enjoy Vieques. Totally recommended if you want to stay in this beautiful island!
Our recent visit to Vieques, Puerto Rico, was nothing short of extraordinary, and it was largely due to our stay at the Esperanza Inn Guesthouse. From start to finish, the attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and their willingness to go the extra mile to make our stay memorable and enjoyable left an indelible mark on us.
The location was excellent, right in Esperanza and across the road from the sea. It’s walking distance from everything in town. The room was very clean, tastefully furnished, and I really liked how the shower and toilet are separate from the sink. If you rent a golf cart while in Vieques, you can park it in the courtyard of the hotel.
Amanda was really kind and helpful, she’s very detailed on how to take care of her property and rental gear, there was always great communication. Last time I visited vieques the stay at another place was terrible, but when I visit again, I’ll definitely come back to the vieques guesthouse!
Wally was outstanding - he did everything to make my time at Vieques wonderful. From driving me to the airport to taking me to some of the best beaches in Vieques, to giving me bottles of water for the beach, he went above and beyond to make sure I left with good memories. Thank you Wally!
Very peaceful place to relax, close to Esperanza and the Malecon(board walk). Dana & Gary were awesome. The fresh breeze from the balcony with the high fans and windows open keeped the room very cool.
The location was within walking distance to everything in Esperanza.
The staff were SO nice and friendly! Very personable people that seemed eager to make our stay as enjoyable as possible!
Located right next to the beach in Esperanza, this hotel was incredible welcoming and comfortable. The staff were kind and always looking to help. Loved the restaurant and the upstairs bar.
