The Slobi is located about 3 km off the center of Sturovo, next to fairly large industrial plant from the socialist period; during those times the Slobi was evidently the associated guest house to accommodate visiting functionaries and engineers. It has since been renewed somewhat but (in fair accordance with the price of 30 Euro for a single room) the basic, frugal-yet-sufficient setup (reminiscent of a youth-hostel) has remained. For example, two separate rooms share one bathroom, although my neighbour room was not inhabitated (perhaps this is a general policy). The room and bathroom were clean, and the location silent. The Slobi is situated relatively close (about 2 km) to the Sturovo train station.
Wellness Hotel Thermal is located in Štúrovo. Free entrance to the Vadas Thermal Complex with swimming pools is offered in summer. All rooms have a minibar and private bathroom with shower or bathtub....

We really enjoyed the whole hotel building, its cleanliness and communication skills and approach by the employees at the reception and in the hotel restaurant. Great variety of food. The whole stay in the hotel and inside pools with warm water were simply great! We will definitely return back soon :-)
