The hotel is beautiful. The staff were very responsive and helpful going out of their way. Having access to the huge jacuzzi bath after long days walking was wonderful. The location is a 5 to 10 min walk to the main street through a pretty neighbourhood, I'm disabled and could manage it everyday multiple times. You have access to a common area which was empty most of the time. WiFi was fast. Check in was easy and when we had to contact to innkeeper, she responded within seconds. She let me use facilities that were not public and sent me restaurants that could cater to my allergies. She let us know about a local tour we might be interested in and was all round a legend of an innkeeper.

Great location for Ashland theater visits, great staff, really personable hotel. I would book another trip there if I were attending a play in the near future.

Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept.
Quaint town. Neighborhoods and housing were nicely kept. I loved the layout and PNW-mountainy feel. Cute downtown areas with both a modern and traditional feel; i.e., modern amenities with a small-town feel. I didn't know there was a Shakespeare festival every year and would love to come back during this time. It's also a great place for outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, etc.

The staff is always extremely informative and will greet you with a kind smile. The location of this hotel is perfect walking distance to many excellent restaurants and the theatre. We love Asland and the downtown area, and the shops, and restaurants and Caldera Brewing Company too. It is close to many wineries also, and attractions. If you like plays there may be something playing outside or inside that you like. We like the fact that there isn't a sales tax on most items too. We like Medford with it's Fred Myers grocery stores, and Harry and David with their food, and wine tastes. We love Jacksonville also and the Union Patio Bar and Grill where we eat on the outside patio, and their food is delicious, and they have a great happy hour over by 5PM, however, and the town is very historical. We drove to Lake of the Woods from there and it was nice to see that area with views of Mt McLaughlin, and a restaurant and bar area, and campgrounds, and boating and swimming. Crater Lake National Park is drivable from there, but it would be a longer drive. Grants Pass is also not very far, and there are many wineries there too.

Ashland is so beautiful, we finally took the time to go left off of HWY 5 and check it out! The downtown scene is very lively, loads of restaurants to check out, good variety as well. Worth a visit for sure!

We came for 2 plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Theater and enjoyed it immensely. Great restaurants, great bike path, and wonderful, wonderful ambience. Bear creek bikeway is one of the great trails in all of Oregon! Omar's Steak House is circa 1946 with wonderful food & atmosphere. We come down from Portland every year!

We were there for a play by OSF and we were not disappointed. I've always loved productions by OSF.
The Breadboard had delicious breakfast, really nice staff too. My husband loved Morning Glory for brunch. Downtown is lovely to walk along.
Overall we enjoyed Ashland and hope to return.
We had such a great stay...some particulars: private entrance with parking right by the room, hot tub use; there's a barbecue, fire pit and a back yard area. If you are into star watching, you can go out back and see the stars at night (we brought our telescope). Mini fridge and toaster in the room, the bed is comfortable, and you get snacks and plenty of water bottles when you arrive. The shower is good for tall individuals.
Lisa and John respond quickly and are just really nice people. 10 minutes to downtown Ashland.
The check-in was easy and well described in our welcome message even though we arrived around midnight. The location was in a quiet neighbourhood close to the city center. The whole building had a cool and vintage vibe which translated into our booked room ‘the artists abode’. The room was executed very well and we both liked the style of the interior. We particularly enjoyed that the space felt as a small apartment with soul rather than an ordinary hotel room experience. We will definitely come back if we have the chance.
This is our second time staying at the Plaza Inn and Suites and we absolutely love it! We feel welcome and the accommodations/rooms are so comfortable. The staff are helpful and courteous and put my fears about not being able to traverse the Siskiyou pass due to snow to rest. We will definitely continue to stay here in our future travels to the Pacific Northwest. The location is perfect. A stone's throw to downtown Ashland which we found highly convenient.
We love this location for visiting our son at SOU. We have stayed here several times and the staff has always been helpful. This is not ideal if you want to spend most of your time in downtown Ashland unless you plan on driving there or going on a 30 minute walk each time. However, it is an easy 5-10 minute walk to several decent restaurants in South Ashland and 7-11 is right across the street. For the money, it is hard to beat.
Comfortable beds, lack of carpet so clean floors, looked / felt renovated, 3 sinks in room (double queen room), few min drive from downtown Ashland, very spacious room, breakfast was fine given room price. Room had a kitchen with 2 burners and sink that we didn't use but would've if we stayed longer!
The location is superb! Very short walk from the hotel to downtown (shops, theater, restaurants, etc) and next door to a grocery store if you need to pick anything up. While the hotel is on a pretty major road, I heard no noise from my room which looked out onto the road.
I absolutely loved this property. It is quaint and within walking distance of downtown Ashland. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Beautiful decor and a warm welcoming vibe. Great Place! Very efficient parking access.
Feels comfy without any hint of shabbiness. Well maintained and clean. Excellent location, close to downtown, but also has market and restaurants in immediate area. Very quiet and "tucked away." I stay here every time I visit Ashland.
It's a town that lives for the Shakespeare festival, so know that as you start looking at places here. I actually used to stay at the Ashland Hotel, but thought I would mix it up. Stay was just fine. It's what a best western feels like.
Great location in town (in walking distance to the city center and most restaurants). The whole hotel is Shakespeare-themed which gives it a unique touch. Friendly staff, clean and comfortable rooms. Recommended!
This was the best location for all the different hotels within the area to downtown Ashland. We could easily walk everywhere and this was the one hotel that was dog friendly. I know we will stay here again.
The bed was comfortable, the room very clean. While the breakfast was fairly standard for free hotel food, this hotel added extra options, Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches and scrambled egg breakfasts.
Nice little spot in a quiet location away from the bustle of downtown Ashland. Breakfast was nice, in-room spas were great. High quality furnishings and decor.
all around charming, in a beautiful part of downtown Ashland. Very kind staff - personal, intimate feeling at the hotel. Dead quiet, slept like a baby.
