Newer rooms, very clean and staff didn’t bother you!
There is so much to do at wildwood. The beach is beautiful the boardwalk is so much fun and entertaining, food is great, streets are quiet at night and evening is pretty respectful. The city play parks are really nice and the area is clean. Just a great place all around. There really is not one thing I dislike when I visit wildwood.

We checked in on Monday, LABOR DAY.
We checked in on Monday, LABOR DAY. We were very disappointed how many places were already closed or closed wayyyyyy earlier than the advertised time. BARS INCLUDED, some before 11 PM. I was very surprised.
We did eat at the Surfing Pig and that was great, then headed to the The Lazy Bass for a night cap. Nice outside bar on the water with live music and very friendly staff! We would definitely go back to both places again!

Beach, boardwalk and bars.
Beach, boardwalk and bars. If you like that sort of thing, this is the place for you. Other activities on the island can get a little expensive but that is expected from a tourist town. Props to the people at Wildwood Waverunners and the Thundercat dolpin watch. Always a great time. I usually to to get down there right before Labor day when a lot of the Shoobies go back home because of school starting.

We drove over 10 hours from Toronto to get to Wildwood.
We drove over 10 hours from Toronto to get to Wildwood. It was our first time and we were all very pleased with our vacation. Wildwood is a great family holiday - good for multi-generational families who have grandparents and kids travelling together. Lots of opportunities to make good memories. Great for small children as well as teens.
Some of the restaurants in the area were expensive, but if you plan properly, some meals could be made in advance (picnic lunch at the beach or breakfast at the hotel). Most of the coffee in the area were really good. The boardwalk is great for walking or biking, even sitting and just people watching. Lots of opportunity for shopping - souvenir t-shirts and hoodies can be found every where, so take your time to pick out what colours and logos you would like on yours.
Highly recommend pizza from Founder's Grub & Pub, Polish ice water and ice cream and Quincey's original lobster rolls - amazing! Captain Jack has a drink special every night and discounted food between 4 and 6pm daily.
For a great inexpensive breakfast, head over to Alex's Pizzeria & Pancake house. Avoid Ravioli House - they are very expensive and quality was okay (good but not for the price).
Acme grocery store is less than 5 mins away and they have a great chicken deal at the hot food counter. The local liquor stores were pricey so you may want to bring some wine bottles along with you. But very convenient to walk to pick up beers for the hotel patio (for the quiet evening in).
The beaches are very safe in Wildwood and North Wildwood. Cape May is beautiful and well worth the drive to see for the day, but you have to pay to access the beach and the water was more rough. Be ready to drive around for 15+ mins to find paid parking.

This is one of my favorite family vacation spots!!
This is one of my favorite family vacation spots!! Our hotel (Hotel Cabana) was awful, but Wildwood itself is just fantastic! Tons of good eats, lots of fun things to do like water parks, Moreys Pier, shopping etc.
The location was amazing! Quiet and safe. One block away from beach and boardwalk! And just a few blocks from the Wildwoods sign. the room was clean and the kitchen had everything from pots and pans, to plates, mugs, and silverware. The rooms are newly renovated. The bathroom was immaculate, makes you feel like you are staying at a much more expensive hotel. The bed was comfy and there were blankets and comforters in case you get cold, pillows were comfy as well! The pool was also very nice and clean.
The location was great can walk right across to the boardwalk and with to kids 9 and 1yrs old it was perfect. Love seeing the beach in the morning from the balcony we were on the 7th floor. They enjoyed the pool. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. Other guest were friendly the whole environment had great energy. We checked out Sunday and they let us stay parked at the hotel while we went back over to the boardwalk for the day. I will stay here whenever I visit Wildwood.
The room had all of the amenities promised and we were able to park in the shade. Prime location across from an ice cream shop and one block (about 5min walk) to the boardwalk, beach, and wildwood sign. Extremely convenient for sunrise and sunset walks on the beach. Pool is nice and room is clean, though smallish. High cost but I think that’s typical due to the high demand in this tourist town and the location is worth it.
Close to boardwalk. Clean and comfortable. Older beach hotel, not upgraded. No blanket (sheets, coverlet only). Standard door lock and chain; no deadbolt. Refrigerator and microwave in room. No coffee. Coffee shop 1/2 block away dies not open until 7. Manager said to walk to Wawa in opposite direction. Over 21 years only. You have to sign a paper with about 15 rules (no noise or profanity, no guests, etc). It was quiet.
I loved the spacious rooms and the fact that you are so close to the beach. I love the fact that we had two pools to choose from (heated or non heated) on two different floors. There was a great deck that included a grill that we didn’t use but smelled other people use it. You were so close to the boardwalks and there were ice and vending machines.
My partner and I visited in May. It was an excellent location to wildwood beach and the boardwalk. The hotel room met our needs. I was glad to have a hotel room with a kitchenette, it allowed us to prepare meals in our room. The room was also clean. We had no issues at the Rio Motel and staff were very friendly.
The staff couldn't be more welcoming and friendly, top notch! The room was clean and had everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Internet is fast. Location is perfect, you are right where all the action is (we were there off season, so we were lucky to have the boardwalk almost exclusively to ourselves)
Rally close to the boardwalk has a shower in the back so you don't have to get any sand in the room parking is included so you get a pass to park in a garage nearby and th owner is very help full and there is Lways some kne in the office
Great spot close to Boardwalk but quieter like Wildwood Crest. Clean, modern rooms, could have used more than one small pillow for each person and small bedside lamp. Very friendly staff, nice pool!
I liked that the room I upgraded to had a hot tub & a nice sunset view. I like the hotel also has an indoor pool, gym, steam room & hot tubs plus a restaurant & bar with live entertainment
Location was perfect - in perfect proximity to boardwalk, beach, restaurants. Joan made me feel very welcome by calling me by my first name and easily fulfilling my few requests.
Location, able to relax on balcony enjoy the view. Many things to do in walking distance. Hotel a classic Wildwood room. Built-in 1940 not many of them left.
