The breakfasts, hearty and delicious, served as a delightful beginning to each day. Dominic, the host, is truly exceptional and always ready to assist, adding a personal touch to our memorable stay. The villa is located about a 10 min drive from San Ignacio. It’s quite hard to find, but you can ask anyone in town, they will know the host Larry. You definitely need a car. It’s a very nice little place in a beautiful setting surrounded with palm trees. It’s extremely quiet and that gives a nice break from San Ignacio. The beds are big and very comfy. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was perfect for our family of 4 even without a living room. Larry can give you good advices about the activites in the area.

Hummingbirds on your patio are a great way to wake up and go to sleep. The locations close to town but not too close. We had a rental car and felt the vehicle was safe from both other traffic and people. There are multiple places for food or if you want to cook the cabins have a full cooking setup. Excellent! Also check out the grounds and admire all the hard work put into creating this hummingbird haven.

Great place to stay with friendly hosts. Villa Cayo is only a few 3.5K from San Ignacio which is great for restaurants, shops and grocery stores. Located on a hill above the tree line gives you the jungle feel with great sunsets. A well maintained touch of paradise.

The hospitality and food were great. Everyone was very friendly and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. This place is immaculately clean. The location is quiet, serene, and beautiful . The building itself was gorgeous with strong wood accent and dark mahogany colors. I loved all the verandas and balconies. You could close your room up or make it a lovely indoor outdoor space. Kids 9 and 12 loved it too. I would definitely come back.

Hummingbird was exactly as advertised. Peter and Jenny were super helpful . They arranged a tour to Caracol(loved Leo our guide) and and also helped us get to our next destination. Highly recommend. Oh, also easy walk to town from there.
