Ecuador
The distance from the center of town is not a problem because the quiet around the area makes all the difference. It is very close to the spas and hot springs. I personally don't like to be in the thick of things all the time, so being in this home was delightful. The hosts are very warm and caring. The interactions with them were genuinely nice. I plan to return to this place the next time I visit Cuenca. The home is tastefully decorated. There are three bedrooms and two and half bathrooms. There is a warm, pleasant, covered patio at the back with a bar and real grass. The home comes with a garage, but I felt safe to leave the car parked in the driveway. The area feels very safe.

Our apartments (we extended our stay so had to move) were simple, but the beds were excellent and there were ample facilities for self catering. We found the rooms well soundproofed. The staff were very friendly and there is secure off street parking. It's about ten minutes walk to the historic centre and many restaurants and bars.
