From point of arrival to departure the staff and service was exceptional. Even tried to contact me to check on my safety as I had missed my prearranged arrival time.

Very nice, Private cottage-style room in an annex but road noise is loud throughout the night despite being well away from the road. There was no hot food available when we stayed but we understand there is a chef starting soon. the reception staff was pleasant and helpful, and there is plenty of off-road parking.

Breakfast Not applicable. Self catering apartment. The hosts were delightful. Friendly, helpful. Bent over backwards to make things as comfortable as possible. Zaida, Mum, collected us from the station and took us to the apartment. She sent some food for us in the evening and her daughters came to sort out the heating and television. Heating worked. T.V didn't.

Having stayed at Heath Cottage prior to its refurbishment a number of years ago, the decor and rooms have definitely been improved. There is no lift, but we had light luggage so it wasn't too much of an effort to reach our room on the top floor. The room itself was clean, comfortable and well fitted with some nice touches such as a small chiller cabinet for cold drinks.
