The place is well furnished with such a cosy vibe. Just across the street, there are some amazing restaurants and store for fresh seafood where I could buy and cook my own dishes. Also there is ASDA in a walking distance. Plus a few steps to the bus station could get me to the heart of Edinburgh city. The tram station is a few minutes away if walking. Truly amazing place to stay! The host was super supportive and responsive with well thought way to support during the stay. I accidentally locked the door with the key inside the house. The host picked up my call so fast with instant well managed way for me to get spare key to get in the house.

Great communication and contact ability Keycode so all in the party can come and go freely. 15 minutes by car from the Airport or the city centre, prefer to stay in a house like this to guarantee safety and a good quiet night than staying in the centre with all the noise and drunk people. Many thanks for your great hospitality

The 'Castle Gogar Cottage' is attached to Gogar Castle - and the hosts' home - and is located at the end of a picturesque driveway just off the main Glasgow Road, Edinburgh. As such it is a short drive to a host of local attractions, quality restaurants, bars, golf courses and sports venues. Despite having Edinburgh Airport as our immediate neighbour we were never disturbed by any of the aircraft operations. The quality of The Cottage's furnishings is exceptionally high and the presentation was of the highest standard. The Cottage is superbly well appointed with quality fitments, bedlinen, towelling and the like. The bedroom suites, bathroom and lounge are all wonderfully comfortable, well heated and delightfully cosy. The kitchen was very spacious and, again, extremely well appointed. Our host, Donna, welcomed us on arrival and quickly explained the layout and the attractions of the property. Donna was warm, engaging and considerate and her attention to the guests’ needs is flawless. Communications were speedy and helpful. The rain deterred us from using the outdoor patio but The Cottage's indoor facilities more than compensated for the dreary weather. We look forward to making a return visit as soon as we can and would highly recommend 'Castle Gogar Cottage' to all discerning visitors to Edinburgh.

    Wat een unieke plek om te verblijven! En alles lekker op loopafstand. Binnen 20 minuten ben je bij Edinburgh Castle, de Royal Mile en Victoria street. Ook de parkeerplaats is heel dichtbij. We werden hartelijk ontvangen door Natalie die ons uitlegde hoe alles werkte, is toch net even wat anders dan een gewoon huisje, haha, maar alles was aan boord wat we nodig hadden.

    De ligging was optimaal. Je was snel in de oude binnenstad (15 min wandelen) en er waren fijne restaurantjes (l'Artigiano) en koffiehuisjes (La Viola, Cups n Books) voor ontbijt in de buurt. In een drukke stad voelde ik me in deze woonbuurt ook 's avonds veilig en de kamer was stil 's avonds.

    Het is een gezellige kleine cottage gelegen in een gezellige volkswijk. Keuken waren genoeg spullen om zelf te kunnen koken voor 5 personen. Wasmachine en vaatwasser waren aanwezig, dat was prettig. Het heeft een leuk klein voortuintje en direct gelegen bij een mooi park. Genoeg supermarkten in de buurt om wat boodschappen te halen. Genoeg ov in de buurt.

    De locatie was heel prettig; rustig en de bus vlakbij. Het huisje is heel gezellig en charmant. Alle basisbenodigdheden zijn aanwezig en de boodschappen kun je vrij dichtbij kopen in verschillende grote supermarkten. De kinderen vonden de WiFi heel goed.

    Heel leuk huisje waar alles in zat. Van vaatwasser tot bubbelbad tot tv met Netflix.. Van wasmiddel tot scheerschuim. Maar nog belangrijker zo'n gezellige sfeer. Van alle gemakken voorzien dus. En binnen een kwartier van het centrum met de auto. De auto kan je op een ruime parkeerplaats gratis parkeren direct naast de cottage. Eigenaar reageert snel bij vragen.
