Lovely character property within a beautiful character village. We were greeted by the host, Marie , who was delightful. She had some delicious essentials for us on arrival....Milk, scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam, butter, eggs, biscuits, just to name a few...and was a real treat for us after our 6 hour journey. Plenty of space for the 4 of us. We also managed to see extended family for a birthday celebration and had 8 adults and 3 children in the kitchen. Overall, a great stay...wish we had more time. Staff were happy to help and make sure your needs were met. We were attending a family wedding at Thornton Manor. As we were travelling to the wedding on the day we asked if we would possibly be able to access our room early. So we could quickly change and get ready. The wedding was at 2pm check in was 3pm. So a big ask ,to which they said we could book in at 1pm which was fantastic. They told us room most likely wouldn't be serviced but we could get ready and staff would service the room during the ceremony. As we arrived the cleaners we're leaving our room and it was all beautifully clean and tidy for us. It was so great to not have to sit in a car for hours to then go straight to ceremony. So thank you Thorton Manor for going above and beyond. The room was beautiful and despite being very old had a modern touch that didn't detract from the age of the place. It was lovely.
