First of all the room was very clean and neat. It was so peacefully and quiet in Kartérados. Eleni was a wonderful host and she helped us with everything. Finding private transfers and good restaurants and she even booked us a wonderful trip on a catamaran. It was a holiday to remember and I hope to come back someday. Eleni and the staff made this holiday even more special for us. Thank you for everything Eleni

“1812 Caves ‘n Mansion” is located in the middle of the small village of Karterados. It’s about 15 min by foot to the bus station and 20 min to the center of Fira (the main city in Santorini). In the neighbourhood there’s everything you may need (markets, car rentals, pharmacy…) near to reach by foot. The structure is very pretty, with a nice sunny courtyard at the entrance where you can have an abundant and delicious breakfast in the morning. The rooms are very clean and well furnished, in particular we stayed in a suggestive cave room excavated in the rock. The biggest quality of the structure is the limitless kindness of its managers: giving you plenty of advices on every possible aspect (logistic, touristic, food…) and making you feel home, you’ll never want to leave!!! 10/10

Dennis was a superb host, very helpful, polite and friendly. We had a problem with our car when we arrived and he went and fetched his dad, who then called his brother and together they help resolve our problem! He had also bought wine, bottled water & fruit for us, so there would be something there when we arrived. The property has all the facilities you need and they even supply condiments, oil, etc for cooking, washing up liquid and washing machine liquid & conditioner! The location was great as it was only 15-20mins into Fira and in a quiet area.

We stayed in Betty’s home for 7 days in September. The place is new, with santorini vibe, fully equipmented with beautiful yard, private hot tub and nice details. It is located in the center of the island, 5 minutes away from Fira by car/motorbike and 15min away from Kamari, Perissa and Oia. The hosts are amaizing and really kind. They arranged us taxi from the airport, renting motorbike ( we parket motorbike in front of the yard and for car there is a parking place just for guests. ) and surprised us with snacks and refreshments when we arrived and with wine and snacks during our stay. We would definitely come again!

George & Stella are delightful hosts. They personally take care of the property and meet your every need. My wife and 3 adult children stayed for 4 nights and wish we had stayed longer. The pantry and refrigerator were stocked with snacks, sandwich preparations, and breakfast foods including fresh eggs from his chickens. Then provided more of whatever we were low on. George handled setting up our airport & port transportation which was first class as well as had our rental car delivered & picked back up directly at the house on our arrival and departure. They modified the cleaning time for us since our schedule was to get up early and hit Oia and Fira before the cruise ships docked and we wanted to laze around the pool in the afternoons to beat the crowds. The location of the house is very centralized and give you lots of privacy that you won't have in the towns. We highly recommend staying here as the house is just perfect and George and Stella are wonderful hosts.

We hired a car and the property had spaces for parking. The hot tub worked amazing so it was nice to relax into after a long day of walking and sightseeing. The breakfast was very nice, they were able to cater for vegetarians aswell. Yoghurt with honey is my new fav. The apartment was serviced every day, it has all the amenities you need, they also provided beach towels which was very handy.

We love the outdoor hot tub which we can use despite cold weather. They werent so strict about the time of usage as well as long as it is too much beyond. Demitris (i dont know if i spelled it right) was also very attentive to our needs. He seems to be everywhere and all-round worker lol. Other staff are also friendly. We also love the food they serve for a fee. The free breakfast was basic but its a plus that you can request a special omelet or pancake for free.
