Very clean room, fab shower, lovely garden environment creating a very relaxed and chilled out place to stay. Really good AC, but also a quiet fan if you don’t like sleeping with AC on or find it too harsh. The breakfast was plenty and tasty.

On a month long trip to Sri Lanka, filled with beautiful places and accommodations - the Cottage holds a special place in my heart. We spent two amazing days here, and later in our trip we decided to go back for 5 more. From the kindness of the staff, the excellent hospitality, the pool that was somehow always the right temperature, the location in nature and all of the life that surrounds it - we had a perfect stay. The gentleman that cares for the plants, pool and grounds works all day making sure the place looks great and the pool is always clean. The chef makes great food, and the Sri Lankan breakfast was excellent. The location is a short bike ride from town, or if you have your own tuktuk as we did it’s about a 5 minute ride. It’s in the midst of the jungle. In our days there we had encounters with every type of bird in Sri Lanka. Monkeys of all varieties. Even Elephants. The near by lake, which you will drive by the signed path to, is a must at sunrise. Walking further down the road into the farmers fields (stay on the road, don’t walk on their crops) will yield incredible sunsets with peacocks calling in the background and a clear view of lions rock. Bungalows are simple, clean and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great experience. We will most certainly return here in the future and highly recommend it to others. There is more to see in Sigiriya than you think, and a couple of days at the cottage is a great base to explore and relax. Mama, the local dog running around is very sweet. If you’re a dog loving traveler as I am - take care of her and show her some love. She’ll keep the monkeys off your tuktuk 😉

Impeccabel service from all staff members! The room is extremely comfortable with a very comfy and large bed and beautiful balcony. Delicious breakfast and dinner! We were very suprised to be greeted by the Chef during our dinner, such a perfect detail. Very happy to have chosen Roo Mansala for our two night stay! I couldn't recommend more this hotel for future guests.

정말 좋았던 숙소! 스리랑카 어느 지역의 숙소 중에 최고였어요! The best accommodation in Sri Lanka! Highly recommended. Price was affordable and location was also good. You can walk to the main street by walk. The host was super kind and nice. We could use enough hot water and the bathroom was spacious enough. The bed was soft and mosquito net was available which was amazing too. Not to mention Breakfast I loved the omelette the most. Not too noisy rather quite and peaceful!

Very nice place in the middle of nature. Lots of birds and animals to see. The staff were very attentive and breakfast was delicious every morning. Would highly recommend. Promot the manager cares greatly about the business and works very hard to create the perfect experience for his guests.

The location was walking distance from lion rock, the rooms was clean and exceeded our expectations. But the best part was the amazing hospitality and generosity exhibited by the owners. Very much recommended!
