The host, bích, is an amazing woman. She is so kind and clever. She answers every question you have about the area and the dao / yao people (the main cultural/ethnic group there). She constantly adapts the food and the optional free day trips around the area to what people staying there want to experience. For me, she helped me improve my vietnamese a lot. The rest of the family there were also amazing and so cute. The stay was a peaceful retreat and there were lots of optional adventures and experiences, all for free. The food is mostly using ingredients the family grows, and the family grows a billion different ingredients from watermelons to ginger to the biggest cucumbers ive ever seen. I think its worth £40 a night, not £6 a night. Optional meals are very cheap, only 40k, and delicious. Its a real homestay where you genuinely become part of the family. Theres a reall good waterfall near the house with clean water you can swim and dive in. They have lifejackets you can use if your not a confident swimmer. We went to explore their farm pand they grow their own food from, in the rice terraces. We had a ln evening camping by an even more dramatic waterfall. We went to a lovely local market together (only on thursday). We tried different teas and each one had a story. They provide a service where they can pick you up from ha giang city if you dont want to drive there. It is by far the my favourite homestay I have ever stayed at.

We just finished the giang loop with nowhere to stay for the night, we booked and we immediately received a message that they were able to host us and if we wanted dinner. The dinner was delicious and they have two adorable cats as well. We also had breakfast which was nice as well. Room is super comfy, location is nice and quiet.

È stata la mia prima esperienza in vietnam e ritrovarmi in questa homestay è stata la cosa più bella che potesse capitarmi Siamo arrivati e il secondo giorno siamo partiti per il loop tour di ha giang insieme al proprietario e ad un suo amico..meraviglioso! Khanh non organizza tour tramite compagnie ma autonomamente e questo rende l esperienza più intima e autentica, Khanh ci comprava sempre le verdure locali da farci provare e si fermava a raccogliere frutta fresca lungo la strada, ho amato questa cosa, per non parlare dei posti in cui si fermava, stupendi..senza tralasciare la compagnia, ogni sera del tour abbiamo mangiato e dormito in delle fantastiche home stay con tanti buoni amici e qualche volta con la sua famiglia con "happy water" (ossia dei liquori locali) e karaoke (la loro passione). Le loro figlie sono meravigliose così come il posto e tutta la loro famiglia. Siamo grati di essere stati qui E soprattutto lei, la proprietaria è una cuoca straordinaria e sempre pronta ad aiutarti in qualsiasi cosa (abbiamo perso l autobus notturno e loro ci hanno ospitato a casa loro e comprato un nuovo biglietto) Grazie di tutto "MÔT HAI BA DZÔ"

We really enjoyed our stay at this place. The family is very friendly and even invited us to eat dinner with them during tet. The room is comfy and I really enjoyed the bathrooms - they were very clean and had great showers.

The view is amazing, the family extremely Nice and welcoming, if you like chess you Light have interesting games with the kid. The dinner was delicous and the dorm comfortable. Thank you so much for this stay 😀
