The Katakis family were very gracious and generous hosts and organised car hire for us as well as allowed an early check in. The welcome treats were an added bonus. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was nothing short of perfection. They were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. Whether it was recommending local attractions or helping us while our daughter got sick.. Their kindness made our stay even more enjoyable. The views from the suite are great! The panoramic windows offered sweeping views of the sea. The Made of Blue luxury suites collection also boasts a stunning swimming pool, offering a perfect place to relax and unwind with its crystal-clear water and serene ambiance!

Mike's house was definitely our most memorable stay on Crete and that in the best way. A cabin out in the mountains is really something else: the views of Omalos plateau are breathtaking, you're constantly surrounded by the sounds of sheep bells and bird song, great hikes are really close. Yes, it is a cabin in the mountains, so don't expect it to be luxurious, however, it really is very well equipped and has great conveniences that we wouldn't even have thought of, like fly net at the front door, hair dryer, amazingly effecient juice press, cotton swabs, pods for the washing machine (super useful for hikers!) etc etc. It seems that there are all together a few (2-3) sections that can be rented out from the house (with separate entrance etc), so one might not be completely alone at the site. Mike himself was very welcoming and had left us some complimentary drinks, fruits from the garden etc. Thanks!
